Every good gift comes from God

I have found over the years the reaction is predictable, as it is written….
Galatians 4:29
But as then he that was born after the fleshpersecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.

So why do it? If you know it comes across as boasting then you should consider not doing it. Instead you think that there is something wrong with everyone but you, while convincing yourself of this ‘anointing’ you’ve received. Consider presenting yourself differently.

When I encouraged you to look more deeply into things you rebuffed that encouragement and instead used it as a springboard to lash out against such a suggestion as if you are some kind of authority on all subject matter with nothing left to learn— ‘being taught by no man’ as another self-proclaimed puffed up position on a pedestal you’ve assumed for yourself.

If God has revealed anything of Himself to you be thankful and be humble.

‘being taught by no man’ as another self-proclaimed puffed up position on a pedestal you’ve assumed for yourself.
Then John and Paul must be puffed up in your mind as well…..

1 John 2:27
But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any manteach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

Galatians 1:12
For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Then John and Paul must be puffed up in your mind as well…..

Oh Lord do you have a problem with narcisism in your mental map, using misdirection and twisting everything towards your own aggrandizing. No, John and Paul arent puffed up, you are. You're nothing like John. He had a bigger vocabulary than you 2000 years ago, he was 100 light years ahead of whatever you are.

I explained clearly in the OP that everything I had received came from God, giving God the honor, praise, and glory.

So where is my boasting?

In your appeal to your authority as a figurehead for God when confronted. What you ought to do is use your own words and reasoning so we can see YOU and not random bible verses, show how anointed you are through acurate and fair replies to are judgements. That's how you have a conversation because contrary to your belief you're not the arbitrer of reality, and were giving you acurate feedback you should use if you wanted to better yourself. But you acted like you didnt want to better yourself, so thats also why we've noticed you as boastful.

So your an apostle! Of course.

Thanks for proving MY point (over and over).

So if I testify of the same truth as they testified, how is it that I am puffed up, and not them?

What did it take, about ten seconds for you to climb up on the same platform of those who actually wrote scripture so you could stand shoulder to shoulder with them?

Have a good day Stew. Get yourself a mirror and learn how to use it.

Greetings all,

I see a little confusion and a touch too much lack of gentle patience with one another, as well as forgetfulness regarding both who we are and our position, not only amongst each other as fellow members only but also as pertaining to those who were once called and suffered and by God's kindness to us a long time after, provided us with words, albeit in a foreign tongue, that we now dispute and consider ourselves esteemed above that which we really are in the fullness of the revelation of God and Christ and the mystery that has already been bestowed upon those who believe, not through any greatness of their own but surely because of His great loving kindness cHesed toward men, for His glory and praise, due only to Him.

None of us can claim truthfuly at all, to be equal to those whom the Lord chose for the establishing of the Church, neither can we claim to be as those who were prophets prior to the birth of Christ and His subsequent death and resurrection. He has given each severally as He will, but that is for the building up of each other, letting each esteem another/others more highly than ourselves, remembering the grace bestowed upon us as unworthy sinners, for whom Christ died; our gifts received being something begun before us, pre-ordained; considering ourselves as unprofitable servants, if indeed we are willing to wash the dirt off each others feet before serving the food for all to eat, provided by Him for His Body, whom we are all invited to become, by grace through faith.

Let us not devour one another.

I hear the need for questioning the concerns, of one suggesting to be 'on par' with the Apostles and Prophets.
I also understand that we are not lacking according to what God has given.
Too often we remain feeble and hide under tables, where we should be turning the world upside down, seeing many come to Christ and His Life.
For those who are bolder, do we really hold up His light or a light upon the Way, or do we shine a spotlight upon ourselves... a question we must all consider as we consider our ways... and do we really meet up to the fullness in all areas or simply allow distant modern technology to appear before men what we might not actually be; a bravado that nobody can really know the truth of.

One thing is certain, we shall know them by their fruits, both the accusers and the accused... but always remember to hold judgement first upon ourselves in all honestly and zeal, that we might be of good conscience before the Lord at His coming.

Post in Peace

Jesus is the Lord

Bless you ....><>

When He was maligned, He did not answer back; when He suffered, He threatened no retaliation, but committed Himself to God Who judges justly.
1Peter 2:23

He was oppressed and afflicted, yet He did not open His mouth. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so He did not open His mouth.
Isaiah 53:7

Did I suggest that I was on par with the Apostles and Prophets? If so please show me where I said this.

Greetings,

Did I suggest that I was on par with the Apostles and Prophets? If so please show me where I said this.

I honestly do not know if you did or did not.

I did however post some Scripture that we can all do well to keep in mind if others do say anything that might otherwise ruffle our feathers, as well as the portion you did not quote in your kind reply to me.

Post in Peace

Jesus is Lord

Bless you ....><>
