HEIRS OF GOD
Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible GOD (Colossians 1:15). We are being made in the image of GOD (Genesis 1:26, Romans 8:29) as we are conformed to the image of Jesus Christ (Galatians 4:19) to become heirs of GOD in the Kingdom of GOD (Revelation 21:7). We are to "walk" (live) even as He (Jesus) walked (1 John 1:6, 2:6). He was without sin (transgression of the Law) in order to fulfill the Law which says it is an abomination for a man to lay with a man as with a woman (Leviticus 20:13). How can we be made in the image of GOD (likeness of Jesus Christ) by Jesus Christ being formed in us if we practice a lifestyle that is contrary to Jesus Christ and the righteousness of GOD seen in the Mosaic Law? The Kingdom of GOD is a Kingdom of Righteousness, and that is the reason why the unrighteous (those who practice unrighteousness by living after the ways of the world and the sins of the flesh) SHALL NOT inherit the Kingdom of GOD – 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Galatians 5:19-21, Romans 1:18:32). Having our past sins forgiven does not mean we have come to repentance to make us righteous (someone who practices righteousness). We need to overcome the sinful ways of the world (lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, pride of life – 1 John 2:5-16) by Christ being formed in us to become heirs of GOD in the Kingdom of GOD (Revelation 21:7).
