Hi Brothers & Sisters,

I want to highlight some points.

1.) to encourage you to invite many to our LORD JESUS. I know most Christians have this desire, including those who are reading this now. What I want to emphasis is that we must have a schedule or a plan for it . Example, you can give tracts, write to others (testimony), give CDs (sermons or testimony). Take opportunity to include these materials when you send greeting cards on special occasions ( Birthdays, Christmas or Get Well Card ). Start Something.

Some years ago, I did asked the LORD what I will regret when I leave this earth. I want to quickly repent before it's too late. Immediately, after I asked the LORD...a collection of thoughts came to me. Thoughts of people going the other way (Hell) It was like telling me to treasure every opportunity to invite people around me to Christ.

Since then, I started giving out tracts and gradually friends joined me. After that, I tried to do it own a daily basis by giving it out to strangers along my journey to different places.

Proverbs 11:30 "He that winneth souls is wise."
Proverbs 10:1 "A wise son makes his father glad"

Even the book "Heaven is so real" emphasis on witnessing, spending time with the LORD, giving tithes, etc

Do encourage other Christians to invite others to JESUS. Don't be a silence Christian.

2.) Also, I want to encourage you on Proverbs 18:21 "Death and life are in the power of the tongue."

Be Blessed !

Actually, as good as that all sounds, I cant really agree with the 'schedule or a plan' ...

I`m really not trying to be contentious lol...

Isnt that a little like putting a message in a bottle, tossing it in the ocean, and hoping someone
out there, somewhere, sometime, reads it?

Let me ask, does the Scripture not say these four things:

"Except the Lord build a house, they labor in vain that build it."

"No man can come to God except the Spirit draws Him."

"For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God."

"Not by might, (of men) not by power, (wether that be programs or schedules or passing out tracts or shaking down a gang on the street, or one in the church building;) but by my Spirit saith the Lord."

If only the Spirit of the Lord can invite men to Himself, isnt it rather my duty, to PRAY for those who do not know Him, to bring their names before His throne, and let GOD send out the invitation? Isnt it better to PRAY, Lord if it pleases you to use me, lead me to those you are now drawing?

The problem is, I often read about mens 'witnessing techniques' but rarely see men talking about the POWER of PRAYER anymore...

Just thinking ...

I typed "led of the Spirit" into e-Sword, and these are the scriptures it gave me:

Isa 63:14 Like livestock that go down into the valley, the Spirit of the LORD gave them rest. So you led your people, to make for yourself a glorious name.

Hos 4:12 My people inquire of a piece of wood, and their walking staff gives them oracles. For a spirit of whoredom has led them astray, and they have left their God to play the *****.

Luk 4:1 And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the wilderness for forty days, being tempted by the devil.

Rom 8:14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

I found what Hosea said to be very interesting...it begs us to ask ourselves the question, are we being led by our own walking sticks...or by the Spirit?

Paul says in Eph 6:18 (directly after instructing us to 'stand ready, clothed in the armor of God') "Do all this in prayer, asking for God's help. Pray on every occasion, as the Spirit leads. For this reason keep alert and never give up; pray always for all God's people. And pray also for me, that God will give me a message when I am ready to speak, so that I may speak boldly and make known the gospel's secret."

One more thought...

Hos 4:12 BBE My people get knowledge from their tree, and their rod gives them news; for a false spirit is the cause of their wandering, and they have been false to their God.

Sure we dont make idols anymore, we are so much wiser than Gods people of old (said with tongue in cheek) ...or do we?
That stack of books that multitudes of Gods people depend on to lead them, does come from a tree...(including the printed 'sermons' on the www) and that walking stick, which seems to bear an uncanny resemblance to our own wisdom...is too often our guide.

Have we been false to our God, because we no longer pray as we aught,
and allow His Spirit to be our guide?

1Jn 2:27 But as for you, Christ has poured out his Spirit on you. As long as his Spirit remains in you, you do not need anyone to teach you. For his Spirit teaches you about everything, and what he teaches is true, not false. Obey the Spirit's teaching, then, and remain in union with Christ.
Yes, my children, remain in union with him, so that when he appears we may be full of courage and need not hide in shame from him on the Day he comes.

God has the plan, my part is to listen & follow through.

On the other hand, here are some things I HAVE done to plant seeds. :

Gave CDs with Christian children's songs to neighbors with kids who couldn't come to VBS.

Brought printed scripture to doctor's office, read myself then left near magazines, for others to possibly read.

Gave out candy canes with info about what the colors stood for.

Provided red & white pipe-cleaners for crosses for kids to take home.

Kids are our tomorrow, most love music, often more open to Christ than adults & if want to go to church must be brought by adult, thus hopefully reach ALL of family.
