Homosexuality

Hey there I’m Christian and my friend brought up a question idk how to answer any help would be appreciated it’s what if someone can’t help it like being Gay?

Humans need God's help in overcoming such sins; homosexuality was just one of the sins that made places like Sodom and Gomorrah the best examples of the worst behavior. And yet, The Lord Jesus Christ is merciful, making sure we have His Holy Word of commandments so we know what to do.

"Go on, and sin no more." is easy for any of us to say, but not so easy to do unless we trust Christ to heal us of the demons in our heads, the devils in our lives, and our own rebelliousness. Learn how to fast (to focus from your own spirit), and also pray to God for redemption during that time that you fast. @Marco??? , your friend can be free of this burden like many others.

I'll add you two and your friends to my prayer lists. Peace.

Even with heterosexuality God has restrictions. Looking at the number of prostitutes in any large city there must be an even larger number of customers who'll claim they can't help it. We all need the Holy Spirit's help to resist sin. @Gothedral's suggestion of prayer and fasting is great advice.

That being said I truly feel sorry for homosexuals. Marriage (1 man 1 woman) is an outlet that keeps satan at bay and homosexuals are not provided that option.

1 Corinthians 7:5

That's a solid straightforward verse.
By the way. I think I know what you mean... but you may have to rephrase to clarify this:
Marriage (1 man 1 woman) is an outlet that keeps Satan at bay, and homosexuals are not provided that option.
Some hardnose may get in your face about it with, "the only option is repent or perish", which applies to every human ever lol
Luke 13:1-5

"the only option is repent or perish", which applies to every human ever
True. Sin is never tolerable to God. Help me Jesus is a better response than "I can't help it".

1 Corinthians 7:9

I've seen testimonies online of gays who seemed to sincerely try to "pray away the gay" and failed. The "for it is better to marry than to burn" does not include "gay marriage". I'm thankful God made me heterosexual but genuinely feel sorry for homosexuals.

We all have flaws like pride, covetousness, fearfulness, weak faith, anger, gossipers, idolatry... that need repentance so sexual orientation is just one in the long list. Help me Jesus is the only solution for us all.

Proverbs 8:13 Yeah, I hate the abuse and tolerance of bad behavior, too.

Luke 23:34 ... I type this with the conviction of knowing fully well what I had chosen to do despite how loud the demon swarm is upon my person. And this very reasoning is exactly why it takes faith in God to heal each of us.

1 Thessalonians 5:17

They can. Many have turned from that disgusting, revolting, vomit-inducing lifestyle choice.

The LGB+ can NOT be that and Christian.

Homosexual people are not born that way, but rather they chose that lifestyle, and it may be that they had a feeling when they were young, but that feeling comes not from the way God naturally made us or natural attraction, but rather from the sin nature.

So one who became homosexual chose that lifestyle, maybe because of a situation in their life they got caught up into, but regardless, they chose to listen to a feeling, gave themselves over to that feeling, and became homosexual.
And as others have shown, you can be set free from that lifestyle through Jesus Christ.

I had a conversation with people at work yesterday, and a person was mentioning that transgender people are mentioned in the bible through the words eunuch, which that is not what a eneuch is, a eneuch was not transitioning to something else, they were castrated, having their testicles removed, for various purposes, which often times they would be employed by kings in ancient times for various roles, including guarding harems and serving as officials, even cupbearers.

I did not know that some people who try to justify trans, used scriptures such as eunuchs, which is very wrong.

And it is clear by scripture that God is against homosexuality, now the word homosexuality itself, as I have done some research, is said to have come into use first somewhere in the mid to late 1800's, and became officially part of the English language somewhere in the late 1800's, but even though that is so, that does not mean there were no words before that time that pointed to the same thing, which in the KJV, there is certain words such as sodomite, that points to the sexual sin done in Sodom, which is what we call today homosexuality, and then there is the word effeminate, that points to this, though there is debate on that, but regardless to these words, the act is sure described very clearly in the word.

Lev 20:13
13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Rom 1:26-27
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

Now if someone wants to add to this, or add other words that point to homosexuality, feel free.

One of the biggest problems it the LGB+ will take ANYONE but straight people.
I know for a fact that any of them who are underage can find LGB+ pedos willing to take them in. LGB+ intentionally go after them b/c children are highly impressionable, largely stupid about life and the world, and believe the lies spewed by the LGB+.

When any of you are learned well with God and the Bible you can see which Christians and LGB+ are too far gone.

Rom 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under sin.
Rom 7:15 For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do.
Rom 7:16 If, then, I do what I will not to do, I agree with the law that it is good.
Rom 7:17 But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me.

Everyone is born with a sin problem. Sexual immorality is part of the "lusts of the flesh" which can only be overcome by the Spirit of God. "Rom 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Gal 5:19 Now the doings (practices) of the flesh are clear (obvious): they are immorality, impurity, indecency,
Gal 5:20 Idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, anger (ill temper), selfishness, divisions (dissensions), party spirit (factions, sects with peculiar opinions, heresies),
Gal 5:21 Envy, drunkenness, carousing, and the like. I warn you beforehand, just as I did previously, that those who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
