Jud 1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
Well Yes Of Course God can keep us form falling but don't we have to choose to let Him?
How can we let Him if our flesh is weak?
Mat 26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Here we see that a inventory of our sin will not be kept . ( we just need to make sure we repent)
Rom 4:8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
I am sure that this scripture looks very familiar it is about forgiving. Which we know that unless we forgive we will not be forgiven. The thing that I find interesting is that Peter is asking about his "brother".
Mat 18:21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
don't we call fellow children of God our brothers and sisters? So here Christ is telling us that we can and should forgive over and over. Which then shows that we also can be forgiven over and over.
Now does this mean that we should run a mess and do what we please and just say sorry ? No absolutely not!
Rev 2:5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
Now Revelation Chapter 2 is written for the churches and Jesus is saying up until verse 4 that He knows all that the churches have done!
But Jesus says NEVERTHELESS....(ouch can you feel that)
Rev 2:4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
What a blow there for some! To think you have it all good and then.... well... Nevertheless gets said to you.
Someone once told me when someone thinks the have "arrived" they are actually further away from when the started. Hmmm just a thought!
I have backed up my thoughts with scripture and I would like to see the same in return. Joyfully ~ Jlu
