How to explain to a muslim this;

Hi sister 
I'm not a theologian, far from it. But Jesus is the Son of God, therefore He is related to God and that makes Him God.
I think a good starting point from your explanation could be by using this wonderful list by brother Chad.

That list of prophecy is from the Old Testament, which shows that God told the people of this world thousands of years before that His Son would come.

It is good that you are wanting the salvation of your husband but having said that you are up against a formidable opposition. Any religion that can last for approximately 1400 years is not going to go away easily. Added to that, Islam is a religion of tyranny and any Muslim converting to Christianity faces the real prospect of death with the blessings of the Quran. Their holy book is peppered with references to killing infidels (as defectors are called) and relatives are especially urged to carry out the act themselves.
Having said that, we worship a good God who is able to seek and to save those who are lost. Whilst I don't hold out much hope of intellectual persuasion, much prayer and a good example in lifestyle can move mountains.

I did not attend a ‘Church’ school but our teacher in year four taught us this psalm and also introduced us to ‘The Pilgrim's Progress‘ by John Bunyan. It is odd how things that seemed so insignificant at the time become major players in later life and I shall always be grateful to that teacher for enriching my life.
