Hi -- your info says you're from Ghana -- so you're from a very different cultural background than I am from the U.S.A.
How much of God's Word, Bible, Scripture have you read personally?
For one thing, 'we' have 2 Timothy 3:16 "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and it profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness."
The Canon of Scripture Is complete. Nothing more Has been written by Godly men through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. However, God Does continue to speak to everyone Through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit has Many 'roles' -- that of convicting people of their sins, one is sealing our soul at the moment of our personal salvation, another is the teaching role.
And the Holy Spirit Does give each believer at least one spiritual gift at the time Of their salvation. One of those is that of being preacher, teacher. Some people are blessed with an ability to explain Scripture in a very clear concise way. As a result of their teaching / preaching people Do come to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Do grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord. They are Encouraged to read, study God's Word on their own at home -- they encourage missions.
God's Word is 'time-less' it was written for All people -- from the Old Testament times to the present. We Are to learn From the past and apply that to the present.
Hebrews 4:12 "For the Word of god is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
We grow by reading God's Word and praying -- we don't have to be In a Bible study or listening to a sermon by a pastor in order To grow spiritually.
And, yes, God's Word IS the truth and The way -- no one comes to the Father, but through Jesus Christ. John 14:6
Theology Is studying God's Word. God Is omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient. He Is the creator.
We have the Godhead // God the Father, Jesus Christ His son and the Holy Spirit.
And, we Can be encouraged by reading biographies of Christian men and woman
The Scripture that we have today came to be in the form of manuscripts written as God inspired His chosen men To write them. Over hundreds of years, those manuscripts were put together and with the invention of the printing press became more and more available to everyone. God Also used prophets to tell people to repent and turn to Him -- the One True God.
