Words have connotation. That one has a pretty negative one.

I think we should take it back though,why should I let darkness find rest anywhere.

I agree completely,but I look at the definition of the word eternal and it doesn't any sense.
No beginning no end.The only way that makes any sense is by seeing the eternal now.

John 5:25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.
If you have a better explanation of what "Now is" means I want to hear it because I have prayed and searched for years.

If I say that the superbowl is coming up next year, and tickets are quickly selling out, so if we want to buy tickets: "the time is now!".. what does that mean?

if i say... the time is coming when Jesus will be returning, in fact the time is now! .. what does that mean?

Hear,believe live eternally "now".
It's always now and it's always coming because whenever it comes it will still be now.
If I am seperated from now "now" I am in darkness for eternity.

Ecclesiastes 12:7 then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it.
Dust to dust,Spirit back where it came from.
What about the soul?
Are you a soul or a spirit?
What is the definition of soul?

eternal life... let me ask you... did you have a beginning? if so, then you can never have eternal life.

but thats not what eternal life means in the bible.. eternal life in the bible means never ending life.

and eternal hell... means "tormented day and night forever and ever" .. never ending hell

My soul or self had a beginning yes,my spirit came from the eternal and will return to where it came from.
Ecclesiastes 12:7 then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it.

My soul or self had to die so I died.The soul that sins shall die.

"Now" The life I live,I live through and by the spirit of Christ who lives in me.
It is no longer I that live but Christ who lives in me.
The dead decaying flesh attempts to hinder my new life but I am a new creation in Christ
and I have no provision for darkness in this life.
"now" I am a spirit who lives in a body made of many members.
You are one of them.
My dead flesh recently had a birthday but I didn't.

This is common scripture but I just happen to actually believe it so it seems weird and pompas.

John 6:42 They said, "Is this not Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How can he now say, 'I came down from heaven'?"
Jesus never mentioned the birth of his flesh because he knew who he was.
He said to "the mother of Jesus"(not his mother),"what have I to do with you.
That would have been a sin for a good Jewish Son to say that.

He was living in eternity and he knew it,he was not going to let anyone or thing peg him down
to a beginning or an end because he is the beginning and the end at the same instant.

John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
Verily verily doesn't make much sense to me I searched for a better meaning and found it meant timeless truth.

If you are waiting for eternal life then you are not trusting in him.

1 Corinthians 15:45 The Scriptures tell us, "The first man, Adam, became a living person." But the last Adam--that is, Christ--is a life-giving Spirit.
You can not become eternal you have to have always been eternal.

All the translations have made this verse difficult to manage but it's worth intensive examination and thoughtful contemplation and prayer..
Soul means self,person,individual,identity,desire.
