Appreciate whatever, hospitality you could extend to me. However, if the mother of the Lord is to be treated as an abased thing, not worthy of any discussion, then I can not fellowship any longer.

It is one thing to refute something with proof against and another to simply cut off.

Always give God the glory my friend!

Greetings,

as you might have noticed here, there are many different threads and even more posts with many differing thoughts being presented. Quite a few threads get very little viewing and likewise very little response. Some are removed for Moderation (which is not always an instantaneous thing)
You will find, however, that most members do not wish to enter debate about Mary.

For all your words written in her favour, there is very little supporting Scripture even if you find that you can dig some up and place them with your own words, it is not very convincing. From the little I know (which is most likely a lot, lot less than yourself) veneration of Mary was not common practice in the New Testament times. Like a lot of 'doctrines' and 'teachings' today people get convinced about something extra and then go about sniffing through Scripture to validate convictions.
I am not having a go at you but I do want you to understand that Mary worship, veneration and other practices are not found in Scripture. Therefore, getting upset with anyone about it is your personal choice and for all anyone might say against my words here, I really do not think that the LORD gets upset about it.

I am always thrilled when i read and consider Mary and her special privilege of being chosen among women to bear the holy Child. I also feel the same about most other people in Scripture we read about who were chosen by God for His will to be done in bring us so great a salvation as we can only ever have through His Son.

By the way, you are entitled to write to any Staff here and discuss your thoughts as you have done here and in fact that would have been a better way.
Trying to make other members or visitors scared to reject the veneration of Mary that you promote is not what TalkJesus is for.
All who are saved are saved by faith in the Son of God, not His mother, as blessed as she will always be remembered, as the Bible tells us. Your posts about Mary left out any Scripture stating that she had been resurrected. If she has not been, it is highly unlikely that she is someone we can either pray to or expect any help from (not possible, in fact). the same goes for the many other men and women of faith we read about in the Bible.
Saint worship and or veneration is likened to the poly gods sort of religions of the Greeks and Romans. There is but One God Who has been revealed to the world through His Son, Immanuel.

If you choose to bid adieu, may you know the lovingkindness of God and by faith serve Him with gladness and joy.
If you change your mind and decide to stay for a season, post in peace and likewise, may you know the forever lovingkindness of God and praise His name.

Bless you ....><>
and ps, thank you again for sharing those videos the other day. I played them over and over.
