While you gave great scripture sister there is a few things I would like to discuss with them if you dont mind the problem with that is that it is 1 am and I need to go to bed. Study and study more.. GOD is saying it is not His *will* for people to perish. When the word perish is seen in the Bible, it referrs to punishment which also means eternal damnation which also means hell = forever burning in the lake of fire.
You will understand eventually hoping you will step back a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the Truth to you as is. Hell is real and it is fire and brimstone. If it were not, GOD would not have mentioned it dozens of times in the Bible.

But I have been doing some serious praying & studying on this subject. And this is what I have come with.
The Lake of Fire has a meaning; the fiery Gehenna [hell fire, King James Version]" that Jesus spoke of. (Matthew 5:22, Mark 9:47 & 48) Gehenna occurs 12 times in the Christian Greek Scriptures, and refers to The Vally of Hinnom, outside the walls of Jerusalem.
And according to the Smith Bible Dictionary: Gehenna; Hinnom {The Vally of Hinnom}
When Jesus was on earth, this vally was used as a (human) garbage dump, where dead bodies of crimals, and the carcasses of animals, and every other kind of filth was cast & burned.
The fires were kept burning by adding sulfur to burn up the refuse. Jesus used that vally as a proper symbol of everlasting destruction.
So, thus therefore, the lake of fire symbolizes eternal destruction. Death & Hades are hurled into it in that they will be done away with when mankind is free from sin & the condemnation of death. So, people who choose to live a sinful life & will not repent will also have portion in that lake of fire. (Revelation 21:8)
And thus therefore, they will be no-more - dust to dust & ashes to ashes.

The physical body that is mankind will return to earth, the spirit of mankind was created to exist eternally, and forever it will exist. For it is written.
Hell was created for the Devil, NOT mankind. There is however the option for man to take the road more traveled and make their own destination, hell. It is up to the person. God wants that no one should goto hell. Ideally, all would come to know his Son Jesus before their bodies turn to dust.
There is a fork in the road with two signs. One reads "Heaven just ahead", the other "Hell next exit". Both places are real, are forever, and have been created by God. He put together the plan for our salvation, His Son carried it out, and the Holy Spirit teaches it to us. God has gone to great lengths so that you and I know which road to take. The Devil also goes to great lengths to feed us lies so that we take the wrong path. He comes to lie and kill and steal. It is his nature. There is no truth in him. His greatest lie is to convince the world that HE and Hell are not real. If he can pull this off, he will blind man to the fact that there are two paths. If you only see one path, you can rest assured that the Devil has concealed one from you. Not God, the Devil. God will reveal only truth, so therefor you will see two roads, because two roads is the truth, only Satan will lie to you, and hide the truth.
Consider this, who would lie to you, God or Satan? And who has to gain from such a lie? Satan of course. God gains from you knowing there is a hell, and Satan does not, so who would perpetuate such a lie? Like the statistics say. 90% of people believe in heaven, and only 50% believe in hell. So 40% believe in both, and 50% don't believe in hell. Where do you think the Devil is working hardest to turn souls from God? He's no fool, he knows who is easy pick en's. Be careful Jonah. I'll be praying for the Holy Spirit to speak to your heart on this matter.
Also, the devil and his demons won't be poking people with pitchforks, and whipping the backs of those who rejected Jesus. They will be much to busy crying out in pain and gnashing their teeth in agony. God created hell for their punishment, not their amusement. Satan just wants to take as many with him as possible to spite God, and also because "misery loves company".

On Wednesday nights, our pastor has been showing a set of films on the beliefs of Jehovah's Witnesses. He wanted us to understand their belief system so that we could effectively witness the Good News with them.
Jehovah's Witnesses have never believed in the existence of hell. They believe that heaven will be here on earth someday, and that hell does not exist. This idea is not supported by the bible, but it eases the minds of thousands who would rather not think about the possiblility of an eternity in hell.
If there is a heaven (God promises us heaven!), then there is a hell.
We have a choice. We can choose Jesus. Or not. Jesus is the only way to the Father. There is no other way to receive eternal life, but through Him.

no, we who believe in Jesus not waiting for the ressurection in the ground.
After we die, we will enter the heaven. We don't have to wait in the ground until His 2nd coming. But this is what i know and i believe that is true.

OK. First of all, I feel Blessed for being here. I feel Blessed just being with anyone who truly loves The Almighty GOD & HIS Son, Christ Jesus & wants so much to live accoring to HIS Rules & Regulations, putting HIM first & make HIM a part of the family.
And though I am still having a hard time with this 'Fiery Hell' I still love Our Father The Almighty GOD very much regardless if there is a 'Fiery Hell' or not. I do believe in HIS Rules & Regulations & believing in living according to them. Giving all thanks to The Almighty GOD & Christ Jesus, for the undeserved kindness & patience for giving me the chance to correct my wrong ways & learn of HIS Rules & Regulations in order to live by them.
My guess is that {just maybe} we all will not understand everything. Which could be a good reason why there are so many different Religions that claim to Worship The Almighty GOD. And, so many different Christian Religions.
But what is truly contents my heart, soul & mind is knowing that The Almighty GOD including Christ Jesus can read our hearts, souls & our minds. And knowing how I feel about them both is so real & presous. So, therefore, I should have nothing to fear, for The Almighty GOD knows my heart.
It's truly amazing how we all believe that we should pay close attention to the teachings of Proverbs & to the teachings of Christ Jesus, Himself & by doing so we all believe that we are obeying The Almighty GOD.

Sister I do want to remind you though that while the Lord does know our heart He does warn of teaching falsehoods..He also warns of causeing ones to stumble.. Do I think that is what you are doing? No not really.. I just want to show you why it is important for the ones who are called to be in some form of leadership to tell people what the word says.. because being in the role of leadership we will be held accountable
