Is Ephesians 5:22-33 "Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord." outdated?

Hi. So the Bible says that women should submit to their own husband as to the Lord and it also says to be doers of the word and not hearers only and that God is not the author of confusion so I am wondering what does wives submit to your own husband look like in day to day real life for us all in 2020?

Assuming that men and women are getting together for marriage because they Want to. No one is making them get married. They become 'one' in Christ. They make decisions together, A wife needs to be able to trust the decision-making ability of her husband long before they Do become husband and wife. They might decide that if they can't agree on a particular 'something' that they will say 'no' to the situation until they Can agree. Other's will leave final decision-making to the husband. They will agree and then she will leave the final 'yes' or 'no' to her husband. I think that in the long-run a woman Wants her husband to be the leader. Because that really is his role. That does Not mean the wife is any Less capable. It Does mean that she wants to have a husband Be the leader / companion person. And very much a companion. Doing things Together. And the leader.

And we must also realize that “America’s” rule of marriages , concerning choice of who you marry is not the standard rule for the world or a biblical example of a marriage. United States of American only represent about (4,5 percent of the world population. So no way is US culture a “model” of biblical marriages or for the world.

We ARE talking about wives submitting themselves to their husbands.
Sometimes arranged marriages work Better. And there Are parents in This country who choose the mates for their children.
Marriage is a whole lot better when their is good chemistry between the two people.
When a woman is presented to a man for marriage -- the man Should be showing a loving attitude towards the woman. No reason he Can't. And a woman will respond positively To a loving attitude.
It's the man's character that is put to the real test. Is he going to be a Godly man or Not.
Sometimes arranged marriages work Better. And there Are parents in This country who choose the mates for their children.

And also the Bible says: women have to be train how to love their husbands and children, by a certain type of woman who is of this “criteria”.
(Titus 2:1-6).

In Ephesians 5 -- husbands are told to love their wives twice and how to love them. vs 25, 28,
In Titus 2:2, 3, 4, - 8. instructions for both older men and women and younger women and men. This is the passage that you included.
I would appear that these instructions have been in 'use' for a Long, long time. A generation to generation 'thing'. Parents are to be teaching / training up their young people to be responsible , loving adults.

I do know people who don’t know God or Jesus and are atheists have raised kids to be “responsible and loving adults. I know a lot those kind of people. I know JW, Islamic, Hindu and Mormons and next door neighbor is Jewish, have done the same , raised wonderful kids that are fantastic adults. And responsible. Watch them grow up.

personally I have only met a few women who I found that really love God with it seems all of their heart. Others just talk! My mother her sisters, both grandmothers, a few neighbors. I can count the others on both hands .

Could be. I got baptise about 7 or 8 years old. Learn about Jesus from big home family bible, reading the pictures, LOL as a small kid before I was old enough to go to school, So by time I went to school, I had been taught by “Leonardo da Vinci”, “Michelangelo”, “Raphael” and all of the rest of those “Anglo’s”. Us kid’s in the hood was at the “Institute Arts” every weekend we knew just about every painting and sculpture in the place” most us grew up in school choir, singing “Italian” sacred heart music. Performing in Roman Catholic Churches. Could sing it couldn’t speak it . LOL. Back to the question. Cannot put my finger on one. Question still holds. Who can find one?
There's a lot in that if you stop and think about it.
Wanting to find a virtuous woman?! And women wanting to find Mr. Right. Well -- sometimes instead of being on the 'look-out' so to speak is the wrong approach. Sometimes just doing what you feel God is leading you To do is all that a person needs To do. That way a person will connect with whomever the Lord wants you to connect with. And That Will be your contentment.
