Is God ok with transgender people?

It still gives me hope for revival. There was a hippy revival in the 60s. Why not one with the homosexual revolution? Sodom would have been saved if they had seen Jesus' miracles.
Transgender I see different. That's not sexual sin. I wanted to be a boy so they'd leave me alone. Worked quite well. When I was younger and didn't have that anymore, I'd still dress up like a guy if there was some creep or rapist. Works perfect.

Deuteronomy 22:5 (NKJV)
5 “A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman’s garment, for all who do so are an abomination to the Lord your God

God made man man and woman woman.

Yes, but if you have to ride home on your moped at 11 pm as a 24 y.o. it's handier to put a helmet on and male clothes and those steel boots that men use in a factory. Meanwhile the male police officers dressed up like women and biked around to catch him. Oh forgot to mention, there was a serial rapist they tried to catch who bothered everyone.Sometimes it's okay. I think it's one of the reasons ppl do it. It works better than a burka. Once a creep bothered me in the morning, when I had to bike to the train to go to work. Lol the next day I dressed like some farmer boy. He didn't even recognize me and left me alone.
With my first job I was so stupid to wear a dress. Immediately had a creep boss on my neck. During the week I dressed uglier and more male. Didn't work one bit, so I just left and where I work now are normal men, so you can just dress normal. Noone cares.

Got a question -- a bit off topic but not That much. Having to do with women wearing women's clothes and men men's. Men normally wear slacks, blue jeans, etc. But, women -- some groups have women Only in dresses or skirts -- no slacks, shorts, blue jeans. I can understand the no shorts, too much leg being shown. But the slacks -- there are really feminine looking slack outfits and bermuda shorts -- they are cooler in the warm weather. AND there are definitely Men's styles of slacks and bermuda's and women's styles. And I Have seen a woman in church visiting with relatives -- she was in her mid-twenties. Definitely man's style shirt and blue jeans. There had been a big family wedding in another church and part of the family Had been members of the church I was going to. It was a fairly informal setting. Pastor knew the people fairly well and made a comment about her luggage getting lost at the air port. Everyone who knew the family, knew that their daughter Did have some 'problems' and she was accepted.

I've Also seen a woman with a very short hairstyle -- it was definitely a man's hair cut / style. There are lots of very short and feminine hair cuts for women. And I happen to wear Mine very short. A retired lady from church cuts it. Over the years, I've gone from Long, dark brown hair in a long- shag to shorter and shorter styles and to fairly gray hair with very short hair style.

So -- I guess my question has ended up being more of a comment that there's a difference between men's styles of slacks and womens' styles. And that Does go back to the Scripture about women are Not to wear men's clothes. It almost seems that now days -- long slacks are more modest than the skirts that are available.

Once I biked through the woods at 11 pm. I don't know why they let these girls. I was just naive and stupid and noone warned me. Met a rapist. I said: God is here! He didn't dare do anything anymore and I told him God could heal him from that and said he should go to church so and so. Then I didn't bike in the woods for fun at 11 pm anymore.

There are Dutch reformed churches where they have to wear skirts or dresses, cause pants is man clothes. Sorry but ever seen a man in skinny jeans or those wide female pants? That's not men clothes if you ask me.

If a woman cuts her hair short in a male coupe and wears men stuff, don't immediately assume she's transgender or lesbian. Could be, but it could also be that they don't want to be bothered. I once cut my hair short. Went to a hair dresser for males and said: I want a male coupe. He was like: noooooo! I always had long hair. My ex chatted with a woman w long blonde hair and I was like: well if all these long blonde haired are like that, I'm not. Off it goes. He did leave it a bit female though, but those pics look really weird. Kids said: mom you looked weird!

Can't find that other women do it. Some said they got fat on purpose, to be left alone. Some churches let girls wear unisex clothes, so they will not tempt men. All wide and ugly. One muslim woman said she loved her burka. If she put it off, some old creep would ask her to marry him and with that thing on, noone bothered her.

There were christian guys who complained on Facebook that they were bombarded by women. I said: turn your profile into female or a monkey. I got so sick of it, I took an ugly monkey pic. It's from a comedian. Jaap the Ape. Worked terrific. Lol but I met one man there who gives Bible studies and I went there and he says to his wife: can you pick up Jaap the Ape from the station? She says: Jaap the Ape?? Couldn't stop laughing. He even introduced me like that. Now I have Ed the horse as a profile pic.

"I think it's important for us to realize that there is nothing good about affirming a young boy at four years old like my grandma did me," he said.

Heyer's grandmother put him a purple chiffon dress and told him how wonderful he looked, which confused him. Children should not be sent those kinds of messages because it communicates that there is something wrong with them, Heyer said.

"That is child abuse," he asserted. "We need to be calling it what it is. It's not affirming a child. It's causing them to be depressed and anxious about who they are."

Heyer has worked with hundreds of people over the past decade who have sought to de-transition and over half of them were sexually abused, he said. Heyer himself was sexually abused several times when he was 9 years old by his uncle. His parents did not believe him and said he was a liar, which compounded his gender confusion.

"Boys who were abused at a young age come to the conclusion that the only way they can prevent themselves from being sexually abused again is to cut off their genitalia and become females. In their mind that is their defense mechanism for sexual abuse. Girls who were sexually abused want to be men as a way to fend off any intruder or sexual abuser so they will no longer be attractive for sexual abuse," Heyer said.

Prov 18:6; A fool's lips bring strife, And his mouth calls for blows.
Prov 20:3; Keeping away from strife is an honor for a man, But any fool will quarrel.
Prov 26:4; Do not answer a fool according to his folly, Or you will also be like him.
Prov 26:5; Answer a fool as his folly deserves, That he not be wise in his own eyes.

Gal 5:19; Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality,
Gal 5:20; idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions,
Gal 5:21; envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Amen Amen Amen.

Hello Sue, sorry for not replying before now, I lost the post/thread!

The first thing that strikes me is, we are looking at today's clothing, not clothing of the past, not clothing of the time of Jesus. But brother-paul you may say, probably LOL, surely we wouldn't be going round in hessian gowns or silk type dresses.

Fashion has changed so much over the years, it has accelerated since the 1960's, for women, long dresses in the 1900's, then below the knee, then from the 1960's the midi skirt, the mini skirt, and some that may as well be called belts.

Each country has is traditional dress but fashion over the years has changed worldwide, getting smaller and tighter all the time, and it is all in these latter days.

Would it be wise to say, taking all these things into considerations, (Plus what scripture says), that from the time of Jesus to the 1900's or lets say up to 1948, that men should dress as men and women as women, subject to the dress in their country, so long as it does not over emphasise and part of the body, either naked parts or shapes there of. In other words look at our bodies as they are (saved souls) Temples of the Living God that must not be defiled.

Those consideration put into the right context, we need to look back. I think, before the free sex explosion of the a 1960's. For me I would say pre-1948. Why do I say this? It is because I truly believe the KEY to the 'latter days' turned when Israel became a state again, since that date everything has changed and increased, free speech, sexual display, flaunting of the body, sexual activity with anyone, divorce, hardening of hearts, children disobedient to parents, wars and rumours of wars, men with men and women with women, famines, raging waters, increase in ungodliness, etc, etc, etc. These are not the end, they are signs it is close. As scripture beautifully describes then as birth pangs of 'The End'. Birth pangs is a lovely example and ladies know better than men, they start off slowly and increase and increase (just like the things we are seeing today, as prophesied).

The Rapture is very close.

Back to the topic, sorry. Women should not wear men's clothes, men should not wear women's clothes. If we look back 100 years and further women wore sensible dresses, men wore baggy trousers, each did not give sexual attraction to the human body.

Scripture also talks about women should not wear lots of make up and jewellery, it is, I feel, by taking God's Word and appreciating what He has told us, and accepting the Temple of God is within us, we should then know what should be right and that we are not in any way defiling the Temple withing.

Bless you.

Now noone cares what I wear. Im old. I can walk in a dress home at 12 at night when I missed the last bus. But in Holland almost noone dresses real feminine. If you walk in a dress and not short, just decent and you're young, thats dumb. You get unwanted attention.

It depends who is your God, for many it is possessions, money, sex... probably in the opposite order.

As for dressing appropriately, according to God's Word, it is having the right priorities.

I remember a lady saying, why do some men treat women like they are meat, the worldly reply was, because they dress like they are pieces of meat.

It is so sad, sad they cannot see it, sad they do it, sad they do not know the Lord.

How many lost souls have we heard say they had a 'great night' at the club last night. Then, don't bang like that I have a splitting head ache.

Oh to be set free and to be free indeed, how fortunate we are for what Jesus did for us, our past sins have gone, we just have to make sure we sin no more.

Well -- we're still in our human bodies and minds -- so we'll be sinning to some extent until we're with Christ. But it shouldn't be on purpose and the Holy Spirit Will let us know that we've messed up.

Jesus wants us to come to him as we are, he takes us as we are.

But we are to come to him, accept him, repent and sin no more. Stop sinning gay, lesbian, homosexual, lesbianism, are all sins.

Gay is not a sin. I know a guy who says he's a gay christian. I don't understand why he calls himself that. He's reborn. He was an active homosexual, got saved and he said first he sometimes got filthy thoughts when he saw a guy, but he learned how to reject that and he barely gets these thoughts anymore. He's just not attracted to women. I think he has the gift from Paul. It's not a must to marry.

@newname -- being 'gay' is being homosexual and it Is an abomination to God. He says it putrid to Him. He hates it.

People are attracted to other people -- it's not a sin. It's a sin when a person acts on that inappropriate attraction. Being Tempted is not sinning. Jesus Christ was tempted by satan but He rebuked him. Taking the second look Can be sinning -- or maybe simply not believing what you thought you saw and taking a second look and realizing that yes, that's what I Thought I saw. Ya don't keep on thinking about what you saw.

And some homosexual people have a hard time getting away from it. And it depends on what got them on the homosexual 'tract' in the first place. Sometimes it's because they've been sexually abused as kids. When little girls have been abused by a man or an older teenaged guy -- they can develop very strong negative feelings for men. They will - as a result - end up turning to women. They need help getting over the original abuse that messed them up. Being led to the Lord will obviously help. But often times even more help is needed for helping them understand the why's and wherefore's OF. Years ago I was attending a training session for a prison ministry. I got to know a woman who'd married a former homosexual man. The man had Had a partner for a long time but then got saved and was out of that life-style for a while. Got married -- but after some years -- he got to missing the guy. He went back to visit the guy, to see how he was doing. Ended up leaving his wife and went back to that homosexual relationship.

On the Other hand, there are those who are 'in your face homosexual' / have no problem cause they're convinced that they're born that way. And feel that They have as much right to Their happiness as do heterosexuals.

And then there are those who seem to have a good relationship with someone of the same sex and just want to live a quiet life.

And you're right -- no one Has to get married. It IS God's plan for family -- one man and one woman = having at least one child to complete their family. Though there are Christian couples who have fertility problems. They Want children so they try to adopt.

@Brother- Paul --are you suggesting that a believer can attain sinless perfection while here on earth? We Are to come to Him, accept Him, repentance is part of accepting Him. And Jesus Christ Did tell the woman who was caught in adultery to go and 'sin no more'. I've interpreted That to mean -- do not commit adultery again. That apparently was her sin. But chances are that she did live on to commit some other sin in her life.

@B-A-C -- I'm saying it's highly unlikely to live to be sinlessly perfect here on earth. We retain our natural bodies and our brain / thinking. Wouldn't that be akin to ending up being prideful? Or maybe Other people are observing our outward life and have a high regard for us. That maybe we're as close to perfection as they've ever seen. But -- what about our Thought life. Or what we're doing behind those closed doors.

It's Also true that we are told in Philippians what to be thinking About. We are to have high standards to aim Towards but realizing that we are still human beings.

1 Pet 2:24; and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.

Matt 5:48; "Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

I wonder why Jesus would tell us to do something impossible?

Jas 1:4; And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

Php 4:13; I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

Why do we turn this verse into "all things 'except not sin'"?

There were a number of people in the called blameless.

Gen 17:1; Now when Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, "I am God Almighty; Walk before Me, and be blameless.

Job 1:1; There was a man in the land of Uz whose name was Job; and that man was blameless, upright, fearing God and turning away from evil.

Job 1:8; The LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, fearing God and turning away from evil."

Gen 6:9; These are the records of the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his time; Noah walked with God.

Php 2:15; so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world,

2 Pet 3:14; Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless,

Luke 1:5; In the days of Herod, king of Judea, there was a priest named Zacharias, of the division of Abijah; and he had a wife from the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth.
Luke 1:6; They were both righteous in the sight of God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and requirements of the Lord.

No where in the Bible does it say that Daniel or Joseph sinned. Keep in mind many of these people in the old testament didn't have the help of the Holy Spirit.

Now, I'm not saying we have to be perfect or we aren't saved. But why do we tell people we can't be? Why do we tell people they "have" to sin?
Where does the Bible say "you 'have' to continue sinning"?

Job 1:22; Through all this Job did not sin nor did he blame God.

John 5:14; Afterward Jesus *found him in the temple and said to him, "Behold, you have become well; do not sin anymore, so that nothing worse happens to you."

I've had non-Christians tell me.... "Christians tell me I can't commit adultery anymore, or I can't be a homosexual anymore, or I can't steal anymore"
but then those same Christians tell me that "You will never stop sinning, even after you become a Christian". So then what hope do I have?
How can I ever be saved? Some Christian will say.. well.. you won't do "bad" sins anymore. What's a bad sin? What's a good sin?
Now we are back to RCC venial and mortal sins.

I think we have to look at the context of Mathew 5:40-48. Jesus is comparing the good that unbelievers do to what Christians do. saying, "For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?" i.e. What are we doing more than unbelievers? We have to go beyond responding the same way unbelievers do.

The word THREFORE is like saying, "these things being so"... meaning - If a man could live the way Jesus has told us to in this chapter, he would truly be perfect. PERFECT is translated 'mature' in the interlinear. Vines says, "complete," conveying the idea of goodness without necessary reference to maturity or what is expressed under "

I know we've all been told "sin is sin." BUT - It does seem like there are different degrees of sin. Maybe the Catholic's do have it right after all.

Matthew 5:22 "But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be liable to the hell of fire."

John 19:11 "Jesus answered him, “You would have no authority over me at all unless it had been given you from above. Therefore he who delivered me over to you has the greater sin."

1 John 5:16 "If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and God will give him life—to those who commit sins that do not lead to death. There is sin that leads to death; I do not say that one should pray for that."

Hebrews 10:26 "For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,"

Genesis 18:20 "Then the Lord said, “Because the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great and their sin is very grave,"
1 Corinthians 6:18 "Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body."

Luke 12:47-48 "And that servant who knew his master's will but did not get ready or act according to his will, will receive a severe beating. But the one who did not know, and did what deserved a beating, will receive a light beating. Everyone to whom much was given, of him much will be required, and from him to whom they entrusted much, they will demand the more."

Matthew 26:23-24 "He answered, “He who has dipped his hand in the dish with me will betray me. The Son of Man goes as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been better for that man if he had not been born."

Matthew 12:31-32 "Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come."

In Philippians 4 we are given guidelines about what to think about. If we were able to think about those things Naturally as a believer why would we be given those verses.
Because of the cross - we're no longer Slaves to sin. Our goal should be to live as much a Christ-like life as possible.

Sinning Deliberately is one thing, but it's the everyday thoughts that pass through our minds -- satan knows our weaknesses and is pretty good at tempting us. And isn't it Paul in the New Testament who says that he's a miserable man at times because that which he knows To do - he doesn't and that which he knows is wrong, he ends up Doing. We Sometimes get mad at the neighbors dog for barking too much.

@B-A-C -- now -- in your comments about being able to Not sin -- are you possibly being judgemental? I'm just saying that sometimes -- in our personal effort to Not sin and to encourage others that it IS possible to Not sin -- are we in fact -- sinning?! Judging Others for their apparent inability to apply Scripture properly? Sometimes sinning is so subtle that we don't see it personally.
