:confused2:1 corinthians 6:9:10 say no , what do you think .
because if you lived that life style and ask jesus to be your lord and savior there should be a change .
An example of homosexuality is found at Genesis 19, whereby two angels visits Abraham's nephew Lot in the year 1919 B.C.E. The angels were sent by God to strongly encourage Lot, his wife, and two daughters to flee the city before it is brought to ruin by God. Reports of homosexual misconduct began to surface, for at Genesis 18:20, Jehovah God says: "The cry of complaint about Sod´om and Go·mor´rah, yes, it is loud, and
their sin, yes, it is very heavy."
However, the account says that before the materialized angels that took on human bodies, "could lie down, the men of the city, the men of Sod´om, surrounded the house, from boy to old man, all the people in one mob. And they kept calling out to Lot and saying to him: “Where are the men who came in to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may have intercourse with them.”(Gen 19:4, 5)
The angels then struck the wicked crowd with mental blindness, "the men who were at the entrance of the house, from the least to the greatest, so that they were wearing themselves out trying to find the entrance."(Gen 19:11)
The two angels then told Lot: "Do you have anyone else here? Son-in-law and your sons and your daughters and all who are yours in the city, bring out of the place! For we are bringing this place to ruin, because the outcry against them has grown
loud before Jehovah, so that Jehovah sent us to bring the
city to ruin.”(Gen 19:12, 13)
Lot "kept lingering", so that "when the dawn ascended, then the angels became urgent with Lot, saying: “Get up! Take your wife and your two daughters who are found here, for fear you may be swept away in the
error of the city!” (Gen 19:15, 16)
Upon Lot and his family reaching the outskirts of Sodom, the angels adamantly told him: "
Escape for your soul! Do not look behind you and do not stand still in all the District! Escape to the mountainous region for fear you may be
swept away!”(Gen 19:17) When Lot and his family arrived at Zoar, "then Jehovah made it rain
sulphur and fire from Jehovah, from the heavens, upon Sod´om and upon Go·mor´rah. So he went ahead
overthrowing these cities, even the entire District and all the inhabitants of the cities and the plants of the ground."(Gen 19:24, 25)
Thus, the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, the "entire District and all the inhabitants of the cities" were destroyed because of the "their
sin, yes, it is
very heavy." God judged these as worthy of destruction. Almost two thousand years later, Jude, in about 65 C.E., was inspired to write that "Sod´om and Go·mor´rah and the cities about them, after they in the same manner as the foregoing ones had committed
fornication ("fornication" Greek
por·nei´a, meaning "prostitution, unchastity, fornication, of every kind of unlawful sexual intercourse.") excessively and gone out after
flesh for unnatural use, are placed before [us] as a [warning] example by undergoing the
judicial punishment of everlasting fire."(Jude 7)
Hence, the apostle Paul wrote that "What! Do you not know that unrighteous persons will
not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither
fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes,
nor men who lie with men, nor thieves, nor greedy persons, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit God’s kingdom."(1 Cor 6:9, 10)
Paul now says: "And yet that is
what some of you were. But you have been washed clean, but you have been sanctified, but you have been declared righteous in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and with the spirit of our God."(1 Cor 6:11)
Hence, all who wish to gain God's favor must discard any homosexual conduct and desires, though it may be difficult. These must "
strip off the old personality with its practices, and
clothe yourselves with the
new [personality], which through accurate knowledge is being made new according to the image of the One who created it."(Col 3:9, 10)
Paul further wrote to the Ephesians, that "you should
put away the old personality which conforms to your former course of conduct and which is being corrupted according to his deceptive desires; but that you should be
made new in the force actuating your mind, and should put on the
new personality which was created according to God’s will in true righteousness and loyalty."(Eph 4:22-24)
Paul now says concerning fornication: "Let no man deceive you with empty words, for because of the aforesaid things the
wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience."(Eph 5:6) Therefore, only those who "
put away the old personality", removing all vestiges of homosexual thoughts and behavior, "put(ting) on the
new personality " can gain everlasting life, be it on an earthly paradise (Luke 23:43) or serving as one of the 144,000 "kings and priests" in heaven.(Rev 5: 9, 10)
