Is the United States Becoming Like Sodom?

Unlike many modern preachers completely and entirely ignore, according to the Old Testament prophet Ezekiel, a primary reason God destroyed Sodom is because she was a proud and haughty people and while living in abundance of food and idleness, refused to help "the poor and needy" Ezekiel 16:49. According to Jesus in Matthew chapter 25, God will judge nations by how they treat the sick and poor, immigrants and imprisoned Matthew 25. Evidence for Sodom and Gomorrah.

According to Ezekiel 16:49-50, there is a degenerative pattern that nations go through that risks the wrath of God. First a nation is filled with false pride and has an abundance of food and idleness. Then the nation immorally fails to help the poor and needy. After which, the nation is given over to massive sexual perversion. The modern United States is currently in all three stages of gross immorality and corruption and is at risk of devolving into autocracy, economic depression and/or, violent revolution and civil war.

One can safely conclude, based on Ezekiel 16:49, Matthew 25 and the rest of the New Testament and the prophets, that a true patriot is someone who strives to help immigrants, the sick and poor, the homeless and the otherwise marginalized and oppressed. That is, a patriot is someone who helps the least and most vulnerable within their own nation, as well as elsewhere.

Compare this to many modern conservative Christians, who spend enormous amounts of time, money and effort pretending to care about the unborn, while endorsing wicked racist leaders of hatred and division and extreme dishonesty, who couldn't care less about the already born. Consider that both the Old and New Testament clearly teach that both governments and individuals should be focused on helping the already born among us, as detailed Here.

Such conservative Christians continue to support nefarious leaders, who do everything in their power to ensure that the lives of immigrants, the sick and poor and average "common people" who Jesus dearly loves, will remain lives of living hell. Leaders of extreme avarice, who corruptly help themselves and the most wealthy, while deliberately harming the vast majority of citizens.
