Is this committing adultery?

This part of scripture does not say: you can divorce and remarry. I do know English syntax. English translations are now a dime a dozen. They make them say, what they want them to say, mostly with a slight bias. The original text, when says divorce, it means divorce. When it says bound , bound to what? Does it says it plainly , not bound to what?
What does the “Codex Alexandria” or the “Textus Receptis” says? And what did that mean to the original audience, he was addressing at that time. “It was a letter” to The congregation in Corint.
You seem to not be able to grasp scripture in what it says. It did NOT say a born again believer should divorce its partner who is an unbeliever, it says if the unbeliever partner does NOT want to stay married they can leave their partner free to marry another in the Lord!

1Co 7:15 But if the unbelieving partner [actually] leaves, let him do so; in such [cases the remaining] brother or sister is not morally bound. But God has called us to peace. (AMP)

Holy Scripture, do not say this:
You did, these are your very words not the Bible.

“it says if the unbeliever partner does NOTwant to stay married they can leave their partner free to marry another in the Lord!.” You did!

Trying to find away to justify sin. God forbid ! God’s people from Genesis to Revelation through out history always trying to Justify their rebellion against His Word.

@PloughBoy -- try actually reading the passage that Curtis typed out in his post.

And that's correct -- if the non-believing spouse chooses to leave the believing spouse, then they Can -- the believing spouse is Not supposed to try to make the non-believer stay in the marriage. And that makes the believing spouse free to remarry if he / she chooses to.

but it's Not the other way around. The believing spouse is to stay in the marriage - Not leave the non-believing spouse. Because then the non-believer might be led to the Lord through the Biblical actions of the believer.

If the believing spouse decides to leave the non-believer and gets together with another spouse , then the believing spouse Would be committing adultery.

I know what the “Holy Scripture” says fully. And have the Spirit of of God in me. And the Word of God is clear! “To death do you part” I did not say it. Jesus did. Except for “(fornication)” and he was not addressing a English audience but a Jewish culture.❤️

So that passage doesn't apply to English speaking audiences but only Jewish people? You Do realize that Way back Then -- the English language probably didn't even exist?! Scripture was in Greek/ Hebrew or some Armaic.

It's All Scripture.

If you think that is condemnation, you ought to check out Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Daniel, Zechariah, Malachi, and Revelation.! When HE step off that Throne and that Trumpet Sound, Intercessory I believe is over. He will Rule with a “Iron Scepter “.!

And What does That have to do with committing adultery And what Does constitute adultery.

Greetings dear brothers and sisters @Chinaza @Sue D. @PloughBoy @Curtis

This thread is becoming a little touchy.

Please all take time to reply prayerfully and back what you say with Biblical references.

And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto Him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,
They say unto Him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
This they said, tempting Him, that they might have to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down, and with His finger wrote on the ground, as though He heard them not.
So when they continued asking him, He lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
And again He stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
When Jesus had lifted up Himself, and saw none but the woman, He said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?

She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
John 8:3-11

Adultery is sin. It is glossed over in this dark world.
Many Christians fall into the trap that says it's okay.

We have a loving and forgiving Saviour who know our hearts true intents
There is forgiveness with no condemnation.
The message is very clear "
Go and sin no more"

Agree, and sometimes I think we as Christians forget why Jesus came to earth and what our mission is. Was it to save us? If so, save us from what? Was it to save us from our sins? If so, what is sin? [missing the mark] := [the bulls eye]. Was it to save us “from the wrath of GOD”?

The problems I do think is, how we sound the alarm, as you spoke of.

(Mark 6: 17-19)
17For Herod himself had sent forth and laid hold on John, and bound him in prison for Herodias' sake, his brother Philip's wife: for he had married her. 18For John had said to Herod, It is not lawful for you to have your brother's wife. 19Therefore Herodias had a quarrel against him, and would have killed him; but she could not:

(Matt.4:16-17).
16The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.

17From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Adultery is a dangerous sin in the Christian community and many do not believe it, why because they call it “Love” it has destroyed many of homes, families, and it spreads like wild fires, and many Christians and churches fans it flames.

(ROM.1:32).
32Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
Is it wrong to call darkness, light? It is right to call light, darkness? We know the answer to those question. We are the ones, that turns on the switch, that hurt the eyes of many of thousands.❤️
