It has been a little over two years since we did this together: Let us on “Talk Jesus” read at the same time “The Book of Revelations” 3/2020

As of 8:00 p.m. this evening I have arrived at Isaiah 42 :D...[update] I now realize I went one chapter too far and next is Ezekiel 1-10 before finishing up Isaiah.

Isaiah 40:4...every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:
Isaiah 40:7-8...the grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
Isaiah 40:11...He shall feed His flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.

Isaiah 41: 13-19...For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee. Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel. Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff. Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the LORD, and shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel. When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them. I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water. I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together: that they may see, and know and consider; that the LORD hath done this. and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.

Where did you say the trail was leading to ? A literal translation the temporal things seen . . . or signified the eternal not seen as in parables, the hidden manna?
 
I have completed now, Ezekiel 1-10.

Ezekiel 1:28-2:1 & 3:22-25...As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake. And he said unto me, son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee. And the Spirit entered me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me. >>>>>> And the hand of the LORD was there upon me; and he said unto me, arise, go forth into the plain, and I will there talk with thee. Then I arose, and behold, the glory of the LORD stood there, as the glory which I saw by the river of Chebar: and I fell on my face. Then the Spirit entered into me, and set me upon my feet, and spake with me, and said unto me, go, shut thyself within thine house.

I write these verses, because they are the closest I can get to relating to how the Spirit entered me on 6/21/18. This was about three months after I had repented and was baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. It was at the conclusion of a spiritual battle in my own home that lasted nearly 3 days. I prayed for my wife, I prayed with my kids to have faith in the Lord and not to accept any lies and to trust in the Word. To be protected from those attacks I prayed that Jesus christen me with His shield. He did. It glistened gold and it shown in the sun so brightly. It went with me into my home. I invited Jesus into my home that final evening; and now I know He came in. At about 3:30 the next morning the devil conceded, and my wife repented of this deed she had done. I joyfully embraced my wife proclaiming that all the angels in heaven are rejoicing with the sound of trumpets. That is when it happened...

As I embraced her, the Holy Spirit entered me, and I literally froze: could not move, could not breathe, could not talk, could only feel the Spirit filling me starting at the center of my body and ending at my extremities until completely full. It was an immense internal pressure, but calm and gentle :pensive:. A tear or two rolled off my face. As this was occurring I remember thinking [what is happening?] For maybe 20 to 30 seconds He held me there, not one muscle moved (maybe ALL of my organs even stopped I don't know!), and I thought [I need to breathe] and shortly thereafter He threw me back, onto the floor where my legs were buckled beneath myself in quite a contorted way. I could breathe at that point but I still couldn't move. He held me there for some seconds and remember before He threw me on my back, that my feet were positioned as if they were nailed (my toes 180 degrees from my shin) hanging on a tree - I remember feeling slight pain.

As I laid on my back I noticed my wife was trying to get my attention in asking or telling me something, but after non-responses from me, she realized that I couldn't respond. <<He did not speak to me and I did not see Him>>

So, reading Ezekiel and how the Spirit entered him, I find comforting, for I was bewildered and still am amazed at what happened to me that day. I did not know this was possible. No dream I would ever dream, no concoction that I could ever concoct could have made this up! But He did it! And I have been seeing the world and my flesh getting stranger and stranger every moment since as I grow in sanctification.

God is Good! Jesus is Lord! Praise ye His Holy Name!

I will be resuming at Isaiah 42...I am about 13 days behind the leaders :).

John Bunyan, I read his autobiography and read his book "PP" in "Old English" meaning the 1st. translation into the english Language that i could read back in the 1970's. I could not believe it was such "Literature"of such style. I got about 5-6 copies. :sob:

I just want to time out and thank all of you both members and non members who has followed us on This trail, and some who started out with us, could not continue by somewhat reason. It is not a easy task especially living in this world of continually strife.

Is it leading to a literal translation in Revelation . . a literal thousand years or a signified as a unknown, concealed?
 
Looking ahead the climb is getting steeper for me...but not too steep as along as I just walk with the Lord, patiently step by step and not try to finish in on long stride...a flash thought was to tap out but I can't!

I have finished reading Jeremiah: and listened to Matthew with David Suchet; I am now half way through reading John's gospel; following which I shall go to Samuel 1 & 2.

'Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD,
and whose hope the LORD is.
For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters,
and that spreadeth out her roots by the river,
and shall not see when heat cometh,
but her leaf shall be green;
and shall not be careful in the year of drought,
neither shall cease from yielding fruit.'

I am sorry "Complete" that the the last book change from "Revelation" to " Pilgrim Progress". It also was a surprise to me as well. But it made sense. I think the date was "November the 14th, 2022; It is also a link to what "copyright" we all will be using. but let it be your choice.

As of 8:00 p.m. this evening I have arrived at Isaiah 42 :D...[update] I now realize I went one chapter too far and next is Ezekiel 1-10 before finishing up Isaiah. Isaiah 40:4...every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made...
