Hi Aqua:
Yes Sir you are thinking correctly.
All this nice/nice just let it go, allowance is what got us in the mess we are in today. Everything is cool , nothing is wrong and many times the teaching is to let God take care of it.
Well throughout time God used us to do his work. Some of it very violent. Some of it not, but for sure he wishes us to help ourselves.
We make decisions and judgements about things each day. If we have a friend who is into something bad, we decide to let them go their way, for sure we do not wish to be caught up into that.
If an employee, is caught stealing, we talk to them, maybe make them pay for the things taken, depends on their attitude, if they seem sorry we give them another chance, but not a second one.
I think all have free will, they can chose to do this or that, and if they chose to do bad things, and will not listen to anyone, and continue to do these things, we do not have to tolerate it. We can be fair and just and compassionate but do not have to just let it go. We can speak up and say, Ok if you want to keep it up, that is your choice, but stay away from me. Or you are simply not welcome in your current state.
I can go to the corner store and kill the clerk and some church or organization will come and petition the prison on execution day for my pardon and release.
Hey if I committed a serious crime, I must pay for it. Not sit and be fed and clothed and counseled and be a burden on society for 20 years. This is what has happened today. What would God do to a person who kills another person for crime. Would he act?
I bet I could go find a boyfriend and go try to get married in ten churches. How many do you think would perform the ceremony?? How many would say, No this is wrong . How many will simply say we will let God take care of it?? Look at what our government is doing with now foreign aid to promote this activity. Look at the 8th grade student who challenged a presidential candidate, and pushed her into a corner and she tried so hard to be nice. The attitude is to accept and not make any waves, to not hurt any feelings and to not step on toes.
Well I will step on toes, and I will talk to God too and tell him, Sir forgive me but I have a complaint, what is up with all this nonsense anyway. How much longer do we have to endure it, I think the world is retarded. Respectfully Sir........would you maybe fix some of it??
Yes we can judge, we are supposed to. We do not have to tolerate all things. But we are in a society today where one has to be very careful with things. We do have to let some things go as the nations laws have overcome righteousness and in fact have become sin and burden in themselves.
We are not to kill or take a life or be mean, unless there is justification for it. But we do not have to as the Bible says, just turn the other cheek and let sin take over.
If a man is abusive to his wife, and I am there , and he goes to hit her. He may just find he should have not done that. It is ok to be angry as long as you do not allow it to control you. But it is OK to act against things.
I have long felt God wishes us to help ourselves, to push sinful things away . To speak against them, to fight against them.
Sad thing is we are in a passive world , a world that does allow almost all sin and will react to the righteous in a negative way. So caution to stay within the law is prudent, like maybe just step between the man who is to hit his wife, but not strike him and call the law yourself. We live in a world where correct actions are incorrect. Much of this attitude comes from that statement in the bible judge not that you be judged. But it does not mean that, it simply means that make sure you are doing things right in your life, before you act as one to admonish another.
Like the man who forgave his servant his debt. Then the servant did not forgive the debt of another. So the master punished the first servant for not having compassion on the other servant , when the master had forgiven the first servant his debt. So the servant had no right to act as he did.
