just saying hello - I'm new

Hi. I'm new.

I have been a Christian for many years but lately have found it difficult to pray. I talk to God everyday but I dont really feel like I am saying anything


lately I feel like I have forgotten how to pray
 
Hey Chellebird, Welcome to Talk Jesus. I'm glad you joined. I can't tell you how to pray, but I'll tell you what has helped me pray. Make sure you thank God before you ask him for anything. Pray for people and then pray about the things concerning yourself and your walk with God. I always end it with "in Jesus name, I pray. Amen" because there is power in the name of Jesus. Make sure to have a humble heart when you go to pray also.

Chellebird I know sometimes we can feel like we have lack of word to say, but you continue to pray and the words will come. When I feel like this I would pray God's promises and thank Him for it, giving Him the praise for it. I especially like the Book of Psalms, example: He is my refuge and my fortress. And then I thank Him and Praise Him for being my refuge and fortress and for being in the present time of need. Chellebird it will come back, hold on, and continue to pray because He is listening to every word.

Welcome to the forums sister.

To pray, the only requirement is sincerity which is honesty. GOD wants you to come just as you are. No fancy words, nothing but your sincere heart.
