I'm confused with this board on reading Revelation and how discourse is to be enacted....I have been reading KJV on Revelation. Stuck on Chapters 6,7 & 8 in regards to wrapping my mind on the timing of the Seals and Trumpets! And the mention of God's Wrath in ch. 6. Seems they may overlap?

What a wonderful “Testimony” you have! You were His, He knew you , He created you, before the foundations of the worlds, before Heaven or Angels ever existed . You will see this for yourself, My testimony means nothing, But “The Revealing of Jesus Christ” means Everything, That exists and that will exist for ever more.

I disagree with that -- it is Not a 'private letter'. It's been given to us to read and share. Part of reading something Is our interpretation of it.

And, yes, there Is over-lapping which is why it can be confusing,

No one said that That part was confusing. The seals and trumpet and all Can be confusing.

The book has been addressed to "Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophesy......"
To the world. Later on in history 'we' are reading it.

If God so love the world, why would He send a Angel to John to show him something and tell him to write it down and show His servants, something that is confusing to them. I don’t believe it is confusing! But you says it is. That is why we are talking about it. [confused]

As believers we are to be continually growing in the grace and Knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Through the years, as I've read through some of the books of prophesy -- there is Some that is very easily understood and some that is more 'controvercial' in nature. For instance the 70 weeks of Daniel. Parts of That have always been debated. If the 7 years of tribulation will still take place or not.

If the Church is an extention of Israel or if they are separate bodies. And there are those who stand Firm in their views. And it's all based on Scripture. I happen to believe they are separate.

There are those who won't teach Revelation and come close to not even reading it because it is full of symbolism.

Some of the other books of prophesy -- Ezekial, Jeremiah , etc. the minor prophets. I read them in plain English and they don't make any sense to me. It's all God's Word so I do read it -- but there's other parts of His Word that are much easier to understand and I gravitate to those instead.

And people -- a lot of times don't like to read about Godly Christian living. And That's all in easily read, understandable English.

And I realize that I'm sounding a bit 'argumentative' which I shouldn't be.

And I guess that since God has created us as unique -- individual personalities / interests -- some will be really into history and others really into prophesy and help it make better sense to the rest of us. Some people are really into poetry and it makes sense to them.

That which is really interesting is the literal compared to symbolic / figures of speech.

There's a verse 2 Peter 1:20 and it's context.

One of the reason, some Christians do not not read or want to read , “The “Revealing of Jesus Christ”. They are afraid of it! Once they start reading it, it puts fear into them, and most do not know that this is what is taking place in them. Everything that is taking place in this book is “Orchestrated “ by GOD”! And they see it plainly! Devils and demons don’t like to read it either! Why? They know they are doom, because it tells them .The bad things that are happening are happening to the world, the land, the rivers, the seas, the animals and mankind, “the Wrath of the Lamb and God is poured out”. Mankind will curse GOD even into His face! Some will bow willing, some will not, but every knee will bow! How could a loving GOD, do something like this! For GOD is love!!!! And there is no evil in Him! They have fail to realise , “GOD does not think like a human thinks, His ways are Not our Ways”. In other ways, His love is not like our love, He has no evil, what ever He does is Just! He is not Us! He does not live by laws, He gives out Laws! He needs no one! He is “The Lord GOD Almighty”! Even the very rocks will declare His name! And that’s not a metaphor. “John, sweet in the mouth but bitter in the stomach “! Same God yesterday, the same God today, tomorrow and forevermore. He is “Immutable”.

To the “Elect” of God! Just another update where I am at, in “Revelation “. I read chapters (4-5) this evening. It was good! Remember no rush, no hurry, no pressure, no quiz, no commentary, and no one’s interpretations.. just read it nice and easy.
I also listened to the books of“Zep”, Zech, Nahum, Amos”, and “Psalm” 1-37. Early this morning,Just for my refreshment only. Very short books. I always had this practice when one book is my main attraction. Remember just like in, “ grade school” “high school”. The bell would ring, then go to the next class. In grade school in afternoon, homeroom. Your main study or a nice read , after work. A nice cup of tea. A calm down read. Everyone is not like that I know. Just a update, “ enjoy the read, don’t try to interpret it, we all can do that later❤ Just make a note, as you go, at the end of your read, make a post.

REvelation can seem a mixed up muddle but with a good understanding of the rest of The Bible it all falls into place.
However to a non-Christian in a pagan country with no lifetime of hearing GOD , Jesus and Bible constantly mentioned even if just at Xmas or at funerals the Bible message and especially Revelation will seem a Hollywood horror script.
I look at a forum for exJWs who have seen through the lies and hypocrisies of that cult, especially its facilitating and then protecting pedophiles, and the hatred and blasphemies of GOD, Jesus and the Bible they write is astounding! The JW leaders are strong on the horror aspects of Revelation and rightly so as it is all going to happen but somehow the congregations divide between those who claim GOD is evil for what is promised while others know it oi going to play out but foolishly think they will be spared!
True Christians need not fear Revelation as once it os over any survivors will never face death again and any who have died will be raised and also never see death a second time.

God the Father > Christ His Son > His angels > His servant John > the churches.

It is a glimpse into the eternal victory of Jesus Christ our Lord. It needs to be grasped verse by verse.

I can relate big time on being stalled on a chapter, as I was on Rev. Ch. 8....I couldn't move beyond and prayed to God about this, as I didn't want to go forward without inspiration/insight from him and I believe God answered prayer thru this board, as I saw this topic listed, it gave me the impetus to continue on. So blessed to have all of us to go thru Revelation together.

So thru the reading of the Old Testament we may have a clearer comprehension of the book of Revelation? ie. Daniel and Ezekial etc....prophetic books
