Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means “Teacher”). Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father.
Perhaps it was in a winsome, teasing manner Jesus said this of Mary's embrace, because of her overwhelming joy at seeing him she just couldn't let go of him....so, in other words preventing Him from ascending!

I think it must of been a happy joyful meeting for both because Jesus chose to appear to Mary first even before His mother or disciples...not to scold her!
Also, consider Jesus told Thomas to touch his scars!
“Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.””
‭‭John‬ ‭20‬:‭27‬ ‭
I believe that when we are resurrected we will experience that same excitement and joy Mary had when we first lay our eyes on our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
