I just want to say that I have read a lot of these replies. I believe that facebook and myspace are the same. That these site can be used for good and evil. I think that we should pray to God Almighty and let him deside if you should be on it or not! I felt the HS in me and I had a feeling that it was a bad thing for me but that could be different for others. I believe its all on whats in your heart or soul why you are there and what you are doing with your time.

WHO'S space?

My space.com is really not your space. Its a Booth were Everyone can connect without knowing whos who. The secret pedophile can connect with a kid, and the kid can connect with porn, wow a good thing right?
The Spirit led believer can open the door to much attack from the other side as well. Ingenious way for the legions to infiltrate the security of your family and its trust in God.
Do you remember the word Booth that I highlighted?
Well they used to have Booths on 42nd street for your entertainment in the feelings you wanted to express one to another without really knowing who the other is. Sounds a bit like MYSPACE if you ask me.

I hate to say it and be the bearer of bad news, but it could happen here too. Although Chad works diligently to keep rif raf away, the Parents still need to be responsible for what and where their children are spending their time going and doing. myspace and other sites are more likely to be "targets" for unsuspecting and vulneratble children and aldults allike, but there is no gate stopping this from penetrating a site just because it has jesus in its name. I think targeting myspace is acceptable but should have an in between and end also. May God Keep Us and Protect Us all, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

I thought I should throw my 2 cents too.
I had tweeter account then Facebook. I always like to control my info and my friends. I started loosing control of who is connecting with me on tweeter and I ended disabling my account for good, then the same thing happened for Face book. I used mobile phone and have never checked if it was really disabled.

I understand concerns for positive use for cause of Christ but you have no control on them and, they were not designed to serve God in the first place. We better avoid them

The internet wasn't designed to serve God either, if I am not mistaken.

All things can either be used for good or evil.

I am not convicted to stop using facebook. I get in connect with old friends and new that way. Also, on facebook you can delete friends or not even accept their friend request.

Again my thought on the issue. Internet was designed just as telephones were, general communication means. That is broader IMHO

I was talking about what a thing was designed for. You can use Quran to lead Muslim to God (I have done it and the man appreciated Christianity Salvation) but I cannot claim it was designed to help to share the gospel. I was appealing in what it was originally designed for. :shade:
