New Girl

Well let's see. I'm seventeen, and from the Pacific Northwest. I've known God my whole life because I was born into a Christian family. It wasn't until the age of 12 when I figured out who He was for myself.
Even though I'm seventeen years old. I'm not stupid. I'm in my second year of college, going for my Associate's Degree while I'm still attending high school. I plan on majoring in Psychology and Bible and Theology after I graduate this coming Spring.

Biggest Pet Peeve: People who believe teens know nothing about Christ and life, and who disregard what we think just because of our age.
Why did I tell you this? Because I was looking through some of the older forums and I saw a young boy, who was 17 actually, put down because of his age and because of his lack of life experience.
I do NOT want to be judged by my age, besides, only God should be judging me anyways.

The truth:
I didn't stumble across this site looking for a place to connect with other Christians. I was actually looking for a pro-mia website, looking for others who suffer from bulimia so I could get help and support from others. But in my search [on Google, of course] I came across a post by a girl, MiaMe, who asked bulimia was a sin. It made me think. And I realized that I shouldn't be looking for support by girls who probably don't want to stop, I should be looking for support in the Christian community.

Sorry for writing so much. I've had a ton to think about since I registered last night. :)

Welcome Michaelaanissa to the 'talkjesus' website. Glad you found us.

Feel free to talk about the Lord Jesus, and tell us what he is doing in your life.

Welcome to TJ, Michaelaannissa. I'm glad you've joined us. I'm also glad that you're speaking up for teens. We have Christ following teens and twenty-somethings here at TJ and at my church whom I admire a lot because they "walk the walk" and it shows.

Thank you all for your kind welcomes. I'm really excited to explore more of the threads, and learn more from you all.

Blessings!
