I am a new member looking to make some online friends and discuss pretty much anything that comes to mind. I recently lost a friend and had some confrontations with some other religious friends who were not very Christlike in my opinion, so my faith has been shaken a bit but I'm sure its just a phase. Perhaps someone can help me here, at least I pray for positive change. One day at a time right?

I have many hobbies and interests so I'm sure we will find many things to talk about.

I read that you are an artist, what kind of artist are you? What kind of materials do you work with. I really don't seem to have any type of talents, but someone has to enjoy what artist's make, so I am one of those.

Well, I work with many mediums but digital media and airbrush work are my favorite. I also create my own music and videos, and create web graphics for clients. I have been working in the art field since I was very young, and tried many other careers but I eventually came back to art.
 
Hi, and welcome. I pray for healing not only from the loss of your friend, but also how others have treated you. Healing comes in both time and in the Lord. Though I can not say I understand the loss of someone close, I can relate to the negativity from other Christians.

Our words are to edify and we are to love one another, so I pray you meet some strong and encouraging friends on here.

Welcome, Morning. This is a good place to fellowship online. And yes, we are to only concern ourselves with "today." It's trouble enough, in this world! But Jesus has everything we need to get through today.

I hope you find some edifying conversation in the chatroom and discussions in the forums.

I like art and designing. I'm personally the author designer of a Christian "surf style" decal....."JESUS , ETERNAL PROTECTION".

Ever seen it ?

Thank you ComingJoy! Yes, it seems some Christians speak things that sound more like fascism than peace (ie kill homosexuals, women's voices not being as valid as a man's, etc) but I just pray that God will heal their broken brain and hearts.

As you've seen here at TJ there is a variety of folks at different levels in their walks. Which makes for great joy. At the same time that you're learning, you can also be helping.
You'll have to share your art sometime. My daughter is in her 3rd year in an Art College in FL, which does not mean I have any ability myself but can appreciate it in others. lol
