Hi, I am a new member. I have chosen the user name of Alumno because I am a student of Theology - due to complete my degree in about 12 months time. Not unusual? I should add that I am 70 years of age, widowed, mother of 4, grandmother of 4 and greatgrandmother of 1.
I also have a terminal disease which the Lord has helped me with - I read the Psalms and my favourite is Psalm 46:10 "Be still and know that I am God". This is how I get through times of pain and annoyance. I believe my illness is a gift of God. I can't think of much more to introduce myself, except that I live in Australia - I hope to hear from some of you. God bless you all.
 
That is my favorite verse too sister! Welcome to the forums, I'm glad you've joined us.

We have a handful of Aussies here too. Enjoy the fellowship.

I am beginning to feel I have discovered a new family - worldwide! I must admit I like the Arcade games as well - although I am not very good at them - but sometimes the journey is far more important than the destination - that is what I have believed all my life and I believe that is why I am a "compulsive" student. The learning is far more important to me than the result/degree/letters after one's name - after all these things only tell that you have learned to learn - not that you have gained extra knowledge.
