Totes fun, I feel like Night Rider, LOL! It is true though, reduced glare at night is good :shades:, like wearing sunglasses at night. I know "don't hurt yourself!" All joking aside I'm liking it!

thank you for the time and care providing this option for users. Certainly easier on the eyes for me.

I have been comparing it to an add-on for the browser currently in use and find that while there is a difference the night mode theme you have provided is probably more suitable for those who know the site and it's layout.

To switch to night mode (or back to light/default theme) simply scroll all the way down to the footer and click on the style chooser.

Let me know by voting! Thank you for your patience while it was worked on.

Don't forget to spread the word to your friends and family.

I for one am glad i can switch back to light mode . Because whew , i have a color blindness and cant see blue on black or blue on red and a few other blue on colors . Yellow is another one . Just hurts eyes to see them. Otherwise i like all the changes

I tried night mode, but it seems to pull on my eyes, maybe age-related, and I think it takes more time to read white on black. Any high contrast, white on black, black on white, is just too much for extended viewing for me. I'm accustomed to leaving this site and most others in whatever it's default day view is, then in Windows 10 click on the Notifications button (bottom right of screen), and selecting Night Light. That makes a light amber screen like aged paper and softens the contrast enough to prevent eye fatigue. I'm on the PC several days a week, sometimes all day and into the night using a CAD program which would otherwise be very hard on my eyes if left in a day mode. There's a workable option available for many personal tastes. I'm happy to take frequent breaks to TJ, and take the dog on a walk thinking about threads instead of projects.

I think you get a lot more "contrast" and its easier on the eyes with the "black" background with white letters. At least to me! :smile:

Yes I find the same @Dovegiven but my husband who is older much prefers night mode.
So it may not be age related :smile:

It is interesting how different people's eyes react.

I love it. When I work on the computer for hours finding a dark or night mode theme is a great break from the usual stark white bright of typical sites.

I like the dark mode better but, some colours are not compatible between the dark and light versions.

Maybe for similar reasons to @savedtoserve I have double vision, although I use lenses with prisms bright white backgrounds hurt my eyes.

Maybe removing colours that are not compatible with each mode may help, just a thought.

Or just having the one mode, just another thought.
