How can people believe things like this? How can they all be true?

A co-worker posted this on social media. I'm just shaking my head. Lord help this world.

Jesus said, "I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father but by me".

Strong delusion is real.

Jesus did not pray for this evil world, neither should we.

John 17:9
I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.

"Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”

- Matthew 9:37-38

"Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn."

- Matthew 13 : 30

----------------Perhaps we can both agree that we should pray for the harvest.

I said, "Perhaps we can both agree that we should pray for the harvest"
Yes, I know what you said in both posts. I was just making sure you know the different between those who are “of” the world, and those that are God’s who are “in” the world, but are not “of” the world.

John 17:14-16

King James Version

14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not “of “ the world, even as I am not “of “ the world.
15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
16 They are not “of “ the world, even as I am not “of “ the world.”

Do you know who they are?

Or has that not been revealed to you and therefore do you go out sharing the Love of God
to all and praying for all you know since you don't know who they are?

I believe there is power when praying for people to pray for them by name.
Of course we could pray the generic prayer of God save "all who are yours", but
I earnestly believe that their is much value, backed by scripture, with praying for people by name.

So since I don't know who will make it and who won't (do you?), I pray for specific people by name.
If they won't be saved, then they won't, but it won't be because I didn't pray for them.

I like what Charles Spurgeon said, he said,
If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our dead bodies. And if they perish,
let them perish with our arms wrapped about their knees, imploring them to stay.
If Hell must be filled, let it be filled in the teeth of our exertions, and

let not one go unwarned and unprayed for.”"

@StewardoftheMystery Do you look at someone and say to yourself, "nah they are not God's chosen, so I won't preach to them"?

Or when you see a friend back sliding, do you tell yourself ,"No I won't pray for my friend Saul, because Saul isn't chosen, I can tell by his actions
that he is a tare. So I won't pray for him"?

Or do you do like I do, pray for all whom you know and see struggling since we know that 2 Peter 3-9
tells us " He[God] is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."

Do you know who they are? Because I don't. If you do know, please share how you figured out.

Please don’t try to misrepresent what I said, and what Jesus said about not praying for the world.

Provide clarity please because that is what I hear you saying.

I posted "Lord help this world."

You replied

"Jesus did not pray for this evil world, neither should we."

So you changed from help to pray, but I was comfortable with making that change.

You shared

"I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine."

And I shared

"Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest."

Then you said that I should know that the harvest is not the world.

Still following??

So I started talking about help, help from the deception. And my cry for help was a prayer.
and you stated to not pray for the world. And I'm asking you, how do you know the difference,
if when I pray I'm praying for my friends by name???????

I think I've made my point perfectly clear. Not sure if you have done the same.

You went from praying for the world, to praying for the harvest.

I was simply showing you they are not the same. But you can pray for whatever you want.
