Please pray for Mary in hospital

Please can you pray for my mother-in-law Mary, who is in her eighties, and has recently been admitted to hospital with three broken ribs and pneumonia. She is a Catholic and believes in Jesus, but I am unsure whether she has made him the Lord of her life.

She is extremely depressed and says that she wants to die. She tried to commit suicide in the past but was found just in time. At the moment she is having extra oxygen and is often confused.

(She got the broken ribs falling out of bed in her confusion and weakness with pneumonia).

Yes I will be praying for Mary.

I have had the blessing of knowing many like Mary who's greatest need is family. In saying that it isn't saying that you are the one to have this on your shoulders, but this is an area that should be helped in with many from friends to close family.

With her being disoriented it is normal under her circumstances. I have a very close friend who is more like mom than a friend and she has just turned 90 and has had visits to the hospital where she gets very depressed so I encouraged her family to come and including myself and other church family to visit her a lot at the hospital.

I sat through many times of hearing that she is ready to go to her heavenly home and I would say back you aren't done yet. Look at all these people in the hospital that don't know the Lord yet and she smiles and then our conversation usually turns to the better.

Be encouraged they ususally do bounce back when shown love and lots of family comes around them. I make a point of visiting my friend at her care home too.
