Dear Titus05, you've been given some good advice. I'm definitely not an expert but have you considered doing some voluntary work? It's really popular in the uk and positions may be held for several hours a week or more than that. It does work out best if you can commit for set period of time (say a month 2 days a week or 3 or 6 months 2 hours a week).
It may give you just the exposure to a working environment that you need to ease your way forward whilst you are looking for paid work. It can look great on a cv.
Even work unrelated to your area of expertise can build and demonstrate to an employer that you have skills of adaptability and diligence etc
