Please dont think this silly. My cat Jane is dying as I type, and although it cant be stopped, I pray that she doesnt have a lot of pain and dies quickly tonight in her sleep.

It is not silly, pets are gifts and give sweet companionship. Will also be praying for you and your very real loss too.
The last line in Jonah references His compassion for the many animals of Nineveh. May our all loving, gentle and all powerful Father be with her now and assure you of His complete care, storing all our tears.

Brad, I can only say I think I've felt similar to how you feel tonight, and I know it is no fun ride. I will be praying for Jane.
It is very disheartening and depressing to watch others in pain that we love, but something that helps me bear it is John 16:21.

I hold a belief that many would rail against scripturally, and one I do not offer for debate. I share this for I pray is a small comfort. For the love we have for these faithful animals is not in competition with the love we have for each other and more importantly for our God. My desire is to believe that they will await our arrival in the heavens.
Revelation 5:13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb forever and ever.
My heart goes out to you brother!

I apologize, just saw this. Sorry about your loss bro, pets are awesome blessings I believe. I lost my dog last year too after 10 years. It's heartbreaking.

Been out for a while Bro Brad and so I also missed this until after your good friend's passing. God cares about us so He also cares about those that we care about even those that were never elevated to our lowest place or were they already higher? They certainly never sinned to come short of His glory.
