I personally think bones are important to God as he formed us in the womb and fashioned us.
Also Ezekiel mentions that God makes dry bones live.
And when Jesus was crucified not one bone was broken, the other mens' bones were.
I think this matters in how we treat a loved one's body. So that's why it saddens me when I see christians being cremated or having family cremate believers. It just seems wrong.
It doesn't matter the other parts of the body but the bones are what make you physically YOU and unique because they contain God's blueprints.
When Eve was formed out of Adam, she was shaped from Adam's rib.
Yes, the bones are very important, spiritually speaking. The reason, I believe, Jesus bones were not broken was his framework was perfect, his grasp of the Truth was perfect, his very Life as he lived it as a man was perfect.
For you and me our bony skeleton is that which forms or outlines or makes our natural bodies the bodies that they are and not a sagging boneless hunk of flesh bending every which way, but that is a type or shadow of Jesus and of that which we should become:
"That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;" Eph 4:14
Notice what happens to all of the types or shadows of the bones of Jesus:
"In one house shall it be eaten; thou shalt not carry forth ought of the flesh abroad out of the house; neither shall ye break a bone thereof." Ex 12:46
He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken." Ps 34:20
"For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken." John 19:36
But the bones of the corruptible man...
"Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice." Psalm 51:8
For my days are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burned as an hearth." Psalm 102:3
"Our bones are scattered at the grave's mouth, as when one cutteth and cleaveth wood upon the earth." Psalm 141:7
There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: thou hast put them to shame, because God hath despised them." Psalm 53:5
"For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust." Psalm 103:14
