I am sorry, (
Col 2: 16). Does not say: "we are no longer-obligated to keep it. And (
Col 2:16) does not signify such a thing as you describe.
I do understand English syntax!
Col. 2:16 says let no man judge you or in respect concerning a sabbath day. And the Sabbath was not made for God or for worship it was a made a day of rest and comfort for mankind. And man still chooses to not lay in rest . God said Remember your rest day set it aside early week, to refresh yourself and the earth and your servants and animals your land to recuperate. And mankind even in Christ live in rebellion to the things God has guided them into for their benefits. The over work the land, they over work their employees, they over work their bodies, their children, the Seas and oceans. And most Christian still do not get it. Because of greed! "Labor not for the food that parishes"!
8Remember that thou keep holy the sabbath day.
9Six days shalt thou labour, and shalt do all thy works.
10But on the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: thou shalt do no work on it, thou nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy beast, nor the stranger that is within thy gates.
11For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and the sea, and all things that are in them, and rested on the seventh day: therefore the Lord blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it. God is your example, here, is it wrong to follow his example?
1st. One must understand the meaning of the Ten Commandments and 600 plus laws God gave in His commandments, and the commandment that Jesus Christ gave to us, His followers. Jesus said: "If you love me, keep my commandments"!
For God written His laws on our hearts. " if you do not want to rest on the 7th day of the week that is your business and no one is to judge you in such matters, and if you decide to "Remember that is a day that God has bless for you to rest, no one should judge you in such matters.
23One Sabbath Jesus was going through the grainfields, and as his disciples walked along, they began to pick some heads of grain.
24The Pharisees said to him, “Look, why are they doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?”
25He answered, “Have you never read what David did when he and his companions were hungry and in need?
26In the days of Abiathar the high priest, he entered the house of God and ate the consecrated bread, which is lawful only for priests to eat. And he also gave some to his companions.”
27Then he said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.
28So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.”
