James 5:20 ASV let him know, that he who converteth a sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall cover a multitude of sins.

I would offer cover over a multitude. . . would be cover over all sin .

To cover over is the same as coming along side. Come. . meaning "to move with the purpose of reaching, or so as to reach, some point.
