I am really feeling down about everything. Last night I was so desperate to talk to another Christian. All I got was more and more frustrated with my computer. I ended up just going to bed and crying myself to sleep - not very ideal at all.



It just feels that this 'bubble' of hope has burst.

I prayed to God last night and nothing happened.



No bright eyes today, only sad eyes.

Sorry to hear that you are so down sister. Try to keep your eyes on Jesus.

Recall what He has already done for you. Write a journal so you can look back and say 'thank you Jesus'. We have to maintain our relationship with the Father. He is never too busy. Keep praying, thanking, and sharing with Him your frustrations, He already knows. He likes you to discuss your feelings and everything with Him. Nothing is too small or too big for Him.

We walk by faith and not by sight.

Read some Psalms of David. He had times of despair and always finished up by praising God.

SadEyes: LLJ tracked down the post that spoke of sin blocking one's path to God (It was by Shortlady in the Lounge forum on Apr 15th).The "sin" referred to there is what might be called habitual sin i.e. unrepented sin in which the sinful act is repeated as a matter of habit..

- The amazing thing is that I was lying in bed this morning and thinking to myself that since Saturday, the pain that I live with, has been greatly reduced.



Thank you to everybody who has prayed for me and especially to God for answering these prayers.



Oh, and by the way, SLE, my sad eyes have gone. I am now the apple of God's eye - hence by name change!

Allow me to back track to the above quoted issue. it is obvious now, that your spirit is in line with Gods spirit,you are able to hear from him and even detect his presence.If your spirit is urging you to forgive and get rid of all bitterness ,then do so.It will cost you nothing,but it will do you a lot of good.

Even if you have no energy,use the little that you have and God will do the rest.Even if you are not comfortable doing it,just tell God the truth; "i do not feel like forgiving,I do not feel like letting go of this bitterness,but you God who said i should forgive and keep away from bitterness,help me to do so"

Why do you worry about your illness? Be happy that jesus had touched you tonight and heard your prayer. You know a story in the holy book , a woman who was suffering for 18 years , she came silently to jesus and touched his garment. Jesus asked to every one that someone had touched me. Every one replied negatively .He told that a power had gone out from his body. From that time she was healed. Do you have the believe that God healed you ..........

Bijush, you ask an interesting question - Do I have the belief that God healed me?

Ummmm - I believe that he can heal me, without any doubt. I also know that I have felt so much better in the past few days, with so much less pain than I usually have. But has God healed me? - I have no idea. Time will be the judge of that.

I think what it is saying is to give all to God every day. Offer ourselves to Him. I give each day to Him when I pray each morning. I ask Him to guide my footsteps each day too.

Remember also to use Ephesians 6.10 putting on the whole armour of God.

I put on the belt of truth. Imagine putting on a belt around your waist.

Then I put on the gospel of peace. Put on the shoes.

Breastplate of righteousness covering of body.

Shield of faith. a shield for use to stop the darts getting through.

Helmet of salvation. helmet on your head.

Sword of the Spirit The Bible


Here is the amplified from verse 13.

13Therefore put on God's complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place].

14Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God,

Like a soldier going into battle. Our battle is against the enemy so the armour of God is our protection against him daily.

I speak each of the above each day when I am awake to give me protection.

Hope you are doing well this day.Still praying for you earnestly.

Now about renewing your mind,it means replacing the old things in your mind with new ones.Your spirit will not hold anything unless it has heard it,so speak to it so that it retains.

Even David spoke to his soul quite often,for example in Psalms 27:14 he tells his soul, wait upon the Lord,be strong and do not lose heart.

Psalms 18:24 says the power of life and death is in the tongue.
So to revoke the thoughts of death you had previously,tell your soul according to Psalms 27:13;i will live and not die to proclaim the goodness of the Lord in the Land of the living.

I speak to my self all the times even in the streets,it doesnt matter how often you tell your self these things,remember God said his word will never go forth in vain ,but it must accomplish what it was purposed for.If it is a word for healing,it must heal before it goes back to him.So tell your soul,By the strips of Jesus i am healed(this is in Isaiah) even if you do feel healed ,speak it,it is the work of God to see his word works,he says he honours his word above his name.

Another verse,worth speaking is Psalms 23:
The Lord is my shepherd,though i walk thru the valley of the shadow of death,i shall fear no evil.

Hope you are doing well this day.Still praying for you earnestly.

Thank you Lucky Lady for your kind post. Unfortunately, I am not doing very well today. My body is very weak and I am back in a lot of pain. I just feel very ill at the moment.

I am trying so hard to remember to do all the things that I have been advised to do, but there is so much and everything is so new. It is very overwhelming and I feel exhausted. Sometimes it is like a different language and culture and I have no idea.

I still wish that there was a Christian that I could talk to about these things. I feel very isolated - which obviously I am.

Is renewing the mind any different from the idea of positve thinking? If I think something long enough, I will become it.

I keep on saying the verse: "By the stripes of Jesus I am healed!"

1. The pain is much worse than it has been for a while.
2. I am so disappointed that the pain has come back so bad.
3. I have had suicidal thoughts tonight because of the pain.

I am so sorry to have written this, but somebody said that it was important to be honest if you wanted to be healed.

Father we do not understand why we go through such pains in life. I pray that You would surround apple with Your love and peace and remove her bad pains. Show her if there is anything she needs to do to reduce the pain level. Help her to think on good thoughts and replace the bad ones with good words from your Word in Jesus' name amen.
