Sins

Jesus said he will ask the Father to send the Comforter. Look who is the Comforter... Same text you refer too! John 14:15,16,17,18.
Jesus is the Comforter, and He is the Father, and He is the Spirit and He is the Son! One God! with three duties, the one is to be God, Father, like me to my children. One is to be the Spirit, like me to my wife (husband) And one is to be Jesus ( the obedient son) Like me to my Father! One person (God) with three duties. Like me one person with three roles and duties. And what makes them all One! The character of Holinrss and perfection. God's Spirit is the charactor.
Holy and God! That is why we read.... HOLY HOLY HOLY is the Lord, three times? because the SPirit does three duties. 1. Be God, 2. Be Jesus. 3. Be the Spirit in all the children!
Beautiful Truth!
Thank you for your friendship Phoenix, cook well and may all your food be blessed!
Cobus.

Hello jakes, do you believe in the "Jesus Only" doctrine?

Jiggifly, I believe the Word of God in it's fulness!

I believe this... Eph 4:5,6. And I believe this... John 17:11,21 And I believe this John 10:30
I hope we believe the same!

That really doesn't tell me what you believe. Is it possible for you to expound on these scriptures in your own words to communicate what you believe about the Father, Son and HolySpirit?

I noticed that you interpret some of the scripotures differently than I do, which is why I am asking for you to expound. Thanks

Jiggyfly, I pray God that he gives me Wisdom!

Thank you for your friendship. I get nailed so often on what I believe, that I might even be a bit presumpteous. If my spelling is not good, I hope there in no lanuage barrier between us. Let me first tell you what I am sure of! I do everything because I love Jesus!
I reply here to share my hope with everybody, and the love in my heart must be from God, because it is not something I had before!
Before this Cobus, was another one. One that wanted to do harm, this one wants to be united with as many souls as possible in the beautiful Savior, Christ Jesus!
Ok what do I believe!

Let us look at God first. God is Spirit! John 4:24. And His Spirit cannot die! For God to be able to die for my sins He has to take on a form that can be pained and ends as a life form. He could come as a goat, or some other animal, but then the sacrifice would be the same as in the old testement. Or He could come as a Man, and be the Lamb of the Father! Fully Man with one difference! This Man needs to be a blameless sacrifice. To achieve this God has to put His Spirit into this Man. Only One Spirit is holy and cannot sin, God Himself, is that Holy Spirit.

So God had His Son born from a virgin. And his little child recieved the Holy Spirit as the governing force over the Son of Man, Jesus Christ! This flesh (Man) could not sin because it was born of God, and it cannot sin because His Seed remaineth in Him!

This Man has the same Spirit, and this makes Him God! Wow! So was this Man God with us, well look at what the Word says. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. John 1:14. And the Word was made flesh! So God was made flesh! Jesus was truly God! Immanuel... God with us! Ok if Jesus was God why pray to the Father? Well let us see why!

Jesus was God made flesh! For two reasons! One was to be able to die! The second was to be my example! To introduce me to the nature God wants me to be! A submissive servant, to all people on earth, with my power and inspiration from the Father God in heaven!

Jesus had all the power God has, but He became the least, so that He can save me from the depths of darkness! And even though He never sinned, He still went to the Father often for more leadership advice.

Jesus went into isolation when He prayed to the Father, so that I would also ALWAYS know that I need my alone time with the Same Father. He even spent nights alone to pray to the Father. Luke 6:12.

He did not have to do it, He did it as an example for us! That is why Jesus said... Father I have manifested thy name unto the men.... And these men wrote these things down so that we can also See HIM!

I believe that Jesus is God, the Son for only fractions of time, the other time He is the Father. Because they are One! John 10:30. I also believe He wants me to be one with Him as He is one with the Father, but I will be the Son for all time! One with Him as Jesus was One with Him, but I will never be God the Father, but I will be God the Son! And what makes us One, me the Son and God the Father, His Spirit! The Holy Spirit!

This Spirit I will recieve when I recieve rebirth! Rebirth is when my sinful spirit died, and His Holy Spirit relives in my flesh! That is how all who are born of God cannot sin, because His Seed remaineth in the flesh! A cleansed spirit, was swopped for a Holy Spirit. Mine are now in Jesus and His is now in me!

John 17 tells how Jesus (God) had this planned!

So if you ask me how many Lord's are there, I have to say ONE! What is His Name? Well YHWH, Jesus Christ, and also known as Christ Jesus! In this is another deep study. But the Word is them all, so if God's Word can be lived out once again in my life, then the Word became flesh once again, did it not?

Is this not a living Word? 1 Peter 1:23.
May God have His way with us my friend! I truly pray the Lord, "Let thou will be done in me Lord! Amen!"

I may be misunderstanding this thread but I think I'm hearing that a lot of Christians on here think they don't sin. Do you never get mad at anyone? A boss, sibling, parent, etc.? If so, that is not showing the brotherly love that God commands us to do. Or have you never told a fib or white lie since getting saved? So, you're telling me you NEVER see something someone else has and want it. You are extremely satisfied with where you're at?

We all sin each and every day, this which is why Jesus died on the cross for our past, present, and "future" sins.

If I am misreading any of this thread, please feel free to let me know but I know that I still sin and that I am not 100% spotless; like my pastor says, you can't be sinless, but you can sin less. By studying the Word and learning more, I can grow more like Christ each and every day.

SNChrist. Look who preach this sinless doctrine.

1 John 3:9, 1 John 5:18, Matthew 5:48, Eph 4:11,12,13. 1 Thessalonians 5:23,24. 1 John 3:5,6,7. Romans 6:1,2,15.
These scriptures are the ones that are mostly contradicted by false teachings. There is not a single verse in the Word of God (The Bible) that even suggest that we will remain sinning after Jesus saved us!

Let us take one salvation in the Word, and analyse it in detail, so that we can have the same revelation on a salvation done by Christ Jesus. Let us look where God saves sinners, in the Word, so that we can understand how complete His salvation is! If He (God) saves you from evil, He saves completely! The wicket cannot touch you ever again!

Let us take Acts 8, it is beautifully described there. May the Lord Christ Jesus teach us, and may we have receptive hearts for His Truth, His Word is the Truth! Amen!

Acts 8 verses 5 to 17. Let us read it and let us note the important points that I will type in brown letters. The question in red letters you need to answer to yourself only, because it would show you where you are in the process of salvation! My answer is in green.

5Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. Philip was an evangelist. I wonder whether Philip preached Matthew 5:48 to them? Yes! What did they know by now? Repent from all sin!!!
6And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. Note the people with one accord, they did not argue about the Gospel, like so many people do today. And this evangelist had miracilous powers. Were these people saved now? Were they believers that accepted Jesus into their hearts now? Are they believers and saved now? No!
7For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. 8And there was great joy in that city. Note how a cleaning process was taking place. A "getting rid of all evil" process. And this brought great joy! What about now? Are they saved now? No!
9But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one: 10To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God. 11And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries. These people were also under false teachings and beliefs. Also under the spell of the wicket one! Theyeven thought this magician is the great power of God, like I did about my pastor and church I used to worship at first.
12But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. What about at this stage are they saved now? Can they call themselves saved now? Do they have the Spirit of God in them now? No!
13Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done. What about Simon is he saved now? He even travelled with Philip. No!
14Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: 15Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: 16(For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) This was some time after Philip started preaching in the city. Philip surely did many things. He assisted all the people to get sinless. The Word of God refers to these people as "saints".
From the greek word HAGOS (ha-gee-os) meaning... sacred, physically pure, morally blameless, most holy, holy one.
So if the Word of God calls somebody a saint I believe it means this person does not sin. Yet, even saints are not perfect, a saint is only a cleansed person. Sinless is not perfect yet! A cleansed person is bathed or baptized in Jesus Christ. The blood cleans the spirit of the person as white as snow! Yet this spirit is not complete! The old died, and the New is ready to take the place of the old. The cleansed is ready to be presented to the Father, and when accepted, the pure spirit would be PRESERVED in God, Hid from this world. And another Spirit takes over in the body. The Word calls it....Moved by the Holy Spirit.
17Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost. Peter and John came to the people and they baptized them with the Holy Spirit by laying on of, Apostle in Christ, hands. Now! Now these people are saved. Made perfect onto perfect people. They are to be preserved in this complete sanctification. 1 Thes 5:23,24.
These spirits are not here under the management of humanity, no they are now heavenly recreated Godly people. Holy People! Perfect People. Made so by the Perfect Spirit of Christ Jesus. Because He is the only Perfect Spirit! These people spirits are made equal to the Spirit of the Son. And they are 100% kept in holiness by the seperation of the cross from the World! These people passed through the narrow gate, they are on the opposite side of the Cross, away from sin. In Him (the other side of the cross) is no sin! 1 John 3:5

This my friends is my best efford to show you the complete Way to salvation. And to all, ALL the holy people, I say,

"Thank You Jesus that you can save me from my sinful Adam, to my Holy Adam. Recreated in the perfect image and likeness of my Savior, Jesus Christ! Wonderful Jesus, if you do something, you do it perfectly. Thank you for being God! Please make me yours! Amen!"

I agree with the above post. Each time I see or hear another Christian espouse that same stance that Christians can't sin or no longer sin, I say rubbish.

'Tis true we are no longer CALLED SINNERS, BUT THE CHILDREN OF GOD. We are now children of light and a friend of God. Nonetheless, we still sin because we're still flesh.

EXCEPT if you walk by the Spirit daily because the Spirit-Led Man really is incapable of sinning against God....who Himself IS the Spirit that's doing the leading.

However, most born-again Christians do NOT walk in or by the Spirit. They walk mostly by flesh even with the best intentions. So, what to do?

God already knew this and provided a way out of our own feelings of guilt and condemnation by the accuser of the brethren (mr.devil himself).

God told us not to stay in that sin but to confess our sin(s) right away, ask for AND receive forgiveness from our Father. This way our sins are immediately removed far, far from us (like the East to the West). We are thoroughly cleansed and renewed again by the Blood so that we can go about our business of doing God's will.

Until Jesus comes back, we will sin because of our humanity but God is gracious to forgive us a thousand million times.

This does not give us the license to sin and to take God for granted but allows us to know that when we do, there's always forgiveness and restoration from the Throne of Grace and Mercy....Our very own Abba, Father.

Phoenix, Let us look at some statements of yours.

Let me first tell you I do all the typing here with a heart expecting a new brother of sister. So all things I do here, is for the edifying of the Body of Christ. Myself and the people I share with. This is not an attack on any person but a tribute to Our Father. MAy His Will be done! And May the Name Of Jesus be the only victory here!

Now your statements.
However, most born-again Christians do NOT walk in or by the Spirit. They walk mostly by flesh even with the best intentions. So, what to do?

If I read this sentance I get the impression you want to indicate that most reborn Christians sin! This can only be possible if they are not truely reborn of God, or that they are reborn from some other god. but the more likely explaination for your statement is that we do not understand rebirth. We are under the impression that rebirth is at the beginning of salvation! It is not, God's calling to repentance is the beginning. Because the Word of God says this ...
1 John 3 verse 9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
Born of God = Rebirth! This verse clearly says that whosoever is born of God cannot sin. Why because at rebirth the seed of God is implanted. The seed of God is His Spirit! God will never implant His Holy Spirit, without taken-up the cleansed spirit of the repenter first.

He swops the cleansed spirit with His own!
bye my friend

Jakes,

I very much understand your heart and I feel your passion for Jesus. We just don't agree on some things that's all and we most likely never will.

I love Jesus just as I know you do. THAT is something we agree on and have in common!

God bless you, my friend.
