Someone confesses an abortion to you

We all make/made mistakes in our past, before we found Jesus to come into our lives. Most of us were alcoholics, drug addicts, children of abuse, had abortions, and etc, etc, etc...

I would give the lady compassion, be her friend, and take her to my church and talk to the pastor. And tell her that through God and Jesus her mistake/sin can be forgiven and that Jesus does accept all forgiveness.

Say you are talking to a woman and she tells you that she has had an abortion. This can be any scenario. She could be young. She could be old. She could be grieving. She could be matter-of-fact.

What would you do? Quote scripture to justify YOUR actions towards the woman. Not scripture to support your view on abortion.

I think it would largely depend on my relationship with this person and her feelings about the abortion. Of course, you should show compassion, but also let her know that what she did is wrong if she doesn't realize that already

My best friend actually had an abortion. Her parents made her get it on her birthday. Unfort. i wasnt a Christian then. but now as everyonce in a while the topic comes about i give her scripture, love and comfort. It gives her rest and Hope in the Lord. She turns to Him more now.
