I've recently been introduced to what the small, mountain community I'm presently residing in considers a good, wholesome activity; country square dancing.
My family has always been strongly against dancing (except perhaps that which is done in excited praise to the Lord, and married couples dancing), and I've been in agreement. However, I'd never considered square dancing.
Now I'm wondering if it may be one couples/group dance that isn't dishonouring to the Lord; or is it something that we should avoid because it can lead to immorality if people are not careful, and be a bad blot to the light that is to be shining forth from us? Is it something that weakens our witness of Christ to others? I'm all ears for some Biblical opinions on the matter.
Thanks so much! Katia
