The Greatest Story Ever Told - old fim from 1965.

Biblical epic starring Max von Sydow and Charlton Heston. All-star cast, including John Wayne as a Roman centurion, chronicles the life of Jesus of Nazareth.

Lasts 4 hours so I don't know if I have that much endurance.

It starts off badly in first lines: In the beginning was the word and the word was GOD!

On eodd scne is what Satan tempts Jesus with all the kingdoms of Earth and is filmed as though they are on the moon looking at Earth - which is something I say they were.
But Satan is shown eating something but obviously as a spirit he had no need of food.

A review says: In the earlier released "King of Kings" Jeff Hunter gave you a Christ that was filled with the emotions and compassion of the son of God, while in this version it just wasn't there.

So now I need to find a King of Kings to watch.

Just finished the film,
Long and boring in places with too many darkened sets and Jesus was too deadpan apart from when throwing the moneychangers out of the temple.
Crucifixion scene was good but no Roman soldier jabbing his spear in Jesus side!
Resurrection scene could have been done better if the angel in the tomb had had bright glowing face and garments. Matthew 28:3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow.
But during this scene the music was the Hallelujah Chorus and quite moving.
