The background lays down a foundation for verse 36 that firmly establishes this passage is not a metaphor but is factual.

I agree Jesus said I AM THE SON OF GOD and I for one believe Him.

He also said you cannot pluck my sheep out of my Fathers hand thus since He gave them to me you cannot pluck them away from me either.

3. John 17:21 “That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.”

So did Jesus as God send Himself or as the Son of God was Jesus sent by the Father?

This verse also sheds light on the first verse used. "The Father and I are one" Eventually when all are in THEM and THEY in us then we are ALL ONE as well.

BBS.
I encouraged the examining TOGETHER you list of scriptures- do I need to break that down into one-syllable words?
I gave you context, a requirement to understand any single scripture, just as is true of reading a Crcular, a Mystery novel, a Comic Book, a News Paper, the Bible, and any written material, but like a child you are attempting to to, verbally, spit in my eye and begin a Foo-Fight.

I have attempted to engage you in Intelligent Discussion and you either lack Cognitive Education or you are intentionally acting childishly dumb. The scripture you have chosen to fight about is not a Stand Alone Verse and it will never be understood without the conditions proceeding this event, the events mapped out in the Scriptures preceding this declaration by Yashua that He is the Great I Am. This is a statement of truth and is not a metaphor, a.k.a. a parable.

Once more I request that you examine the context that this Declaration appears in, please.

Your understanding is the same as is mine. Praise YHWH.

I will not be as embarrassed in another thousand years as I am today. I confess to believing the truth of this even though I have not been blessed with Complete Understanding, but instead, through the Third Person's Indwelling, i have the, much greater blessing of Faith in understanding all scripture one day, coupled with the Faith that YHWH, Yashua and Ruah always tell the truth.

The result of the Spiritual Journey I travel enables me to believe, even Scriptures I and not yet able to understand, some partially and some, nearly, completely.

Sorry brother, I forget a lot, these days. The Father, the Son, and Ruah are of the same mind, a Spiritual Condition that all my input is the data Our LORD has revealed to me. As for who sent whom, I venture that both thoughts can be true at the same time.

I will not stand the Great White Throne Judgment but will indeed be judged at the Bema Seat of Mashiah.

Genesis 1

The Creation
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
2 The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters.
3 Then God said, "Let there be light "; and there was light.
4 God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness.
5 God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.
6 Then God said, "Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters."
7 God made the expanse, and separated the waters which were below * the expanse from the waters which were above * the expanse; and it was so.
8 God called the expanse heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day. 9 Then God said, "Let the waters below * the heavens be gathered into one place, and let the dry land appear "; and it was so.
10 God called the dry land earth, and the gathering of the waters He called seas; and God saw that it was good. 11 Then God said, "Let the earth sprout vegetation: plants yielding seed, and fruit trees on the earth bearing fruit after their kind with seed in them"; and it was so. 12 The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit with seed in them, after their kind; and God saw that it was good. 13 There was evening and there was morning, a third day.
14 Then God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years;
15 and let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth "; and it was so. 16 God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night; He made the stars also.
17 God placed them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth,
18 and to govern the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good.
19 There was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.
20 Then God said, "Let the waters teem with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of the heavens."
21 God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind; and God saw that it was good.
22 God blessed them, saying, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth."
23 There was evening and there was morning, a fifth day.
24 Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind "; and it was so.
25 God made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind; and God saw that it was good.
26 Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."
27 God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
28 God blessed them; and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth." 29 Then God said, "Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you;
30 and to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the sky and to every thing that moves on the earth which has life, I have given every green plant for food "; and it was so.
31 God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.

First, let me express my gratitude to Genesis 1 - NAS Bible - In the beginning God created the heavens and the... for the use of the NASB in these lessons.

The first issue so many folks have with the scriptures is fund in Gen. 1:1 & 2. These verses are used by many False Teachers to prove there is an undefined period of time in which the World evolved to the state and/or condition it was in about six thousand years ago. This nonsense can only be arrived at if the truth is completely ignored.

We live in a Space/Time Continuum created for our benefit by the Holy Elohim to whom there is neither Time nor Space Limitations. There is no Gap in anything created by YHWH because He is present in the past, in the present, and in the future. With Elohim there is no such thing as Time.

Now we go to the first five verses of the Gospel of John to help with the understanding of The Creation. The Son of YHWH is the Creator because YHWH created all things through Him.

Is your understanding that for God there is no such thing as time derived from the Bible, or from rational deduction?

Is your understanding that for God there is no such thing as time derived from the Bible, or from rational deduction?
It is Logical Deduction from the Scriptures, in what they say considering the date it was written. And the scriptures pronounce YHWH, Yashua ha'Mashiah, and Ruah to be Omnipotent, a condition that is impossible except they are unbound by space and time.

Reading the Holy Scriptures logically, from beginning to end, without the Man-Made Chapter and Verse interruptions, but, rather, as they were, as letters with a single and continuous message on living Righteously with our Elohim.

With this understanding comes the view, given only by and through Ruah, that YHWH, from the creation has enacted a contract with mankind from the day Adam was created was modified but never withdrawn.

The same is true with The Abrahamic, The Mosaic, and the final modification of the Contract found in the Renewed Testament. With the advent of the Renewed Testament we find the Grace and Mercy that the Jewish Believer of Matthew 27:51-54.

The Mosaic Contract that included The Ten Commandments stands and every Lost Man will be judged under it and will be condemned to Eternity in The Lake of Fire because, even if they work to live that life with their heart and soul, they cannot be perfect.

Are you really a Pentecostal?

God is Truth.
The Holy Spirit is Love, the expression of Truth.
Jesus Christ is Faith, the acceptance of Truth.

Truth is unconditional.
Truth is unknowable without unconditional Faith and Love.

Whenever Christians hear the Truth, The Holy Spirit expresses the Love of the Truth, and through Faith we accept (allow) Truth into our consciousness.
Those that fear the Truth go into instantaneous denial where they avoid seeing and hearing what is True.
However, one cannot deny something without knowing what to deny. So even the disbelievers know the Truth they have been denying. Fear, the route of all evil, keeps them in denial. Fear is a lack of Faith.

Truth (God), Love (Spirit), and Faith (Christ) are inseparable.

PAH-

God is Truth. (True)
The Holy Spirit is Love, the expression of Truth. (True and False; it's not a 'Ghost'.)
Jesus Christ is Faith, the acceptance of Truth. (True)

Truth is unconditional. (Yes- church dogma is)
Truth is unknowable without unconditional Faith and Love. (Backwards, but True)

Whenever Christians hear the Truth, The Holy Spirit expresses the Love of the Truth, and through Faith we accept (allow) Truth into our consciousness. (True)
Those that fear the Truth go into instantaneous denial where they avoid seeing and hearing what is True. (TRUE!)
However, one cannot deny something without knowing what to deny. So even the disbelievers know the Truth they have been denying. Fear, the route of all evil, keeps them in denial. Fear is a lack of Faith. (True, in most cases)

Truth (God), Love (Spirit), and Faith (Christ) are inseparable. (Unless one LETS them be separated...)

John 17:26- " I made known to them thy name, and I will make it known, that the love with which thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.” (And it wasn't "Lord" either.)
