The purpose of this thread is to break down Genesis the 1st chapter and show clearly that there are three heavens, using the holy bible.
I have images along the way to show what is happening at each stage, all glory goes to God, I don't want or need any.
Disclaimer: this thread will be lengthy as there are many scriptures to go through
Genesis 1: 1 - 2
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
First thing I want to point out is that no man knows when in the beginning was, only God knows that. In verse 2 it states the Earth was without form and void and darkness was upon the face of the deep. The Earth mentioned in verse 2 is clearly talking about water because water has no form and it talk about the deep, so why is God calling the water, Earth?? Well let's see why
Isaiah 46: 10
10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
When God speaks he declares things he starts from the end and then he goes towards the beginning. He already knows that he will use the waters to create the Earth but the waters was here before the Earth. Hence the reason why the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Jeremiah 4: 23
23 I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.

Amen, now let's go back to Genesis
Genesis 1: 2 - 5
And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
Now it should make sense why the spirit of God moved upon the waters and not upon the Earth because there is only water at this point. Now that's the end of day 1.
Genesis 1: 6 - 8
6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
Now right in the middle of the water God created a firmament so that there is water above the firmament and water below the firmament. Then GOD called the firmament heaven. So right now we are establishing that there are currently two heavens.

2 Corinthians 12: 2
2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth
such an one caught up to the third heaven.
So the Heaven where The Father and Jesus is located is called the 3rd Heaven or Heaven of Heavens and so this firmament that God made is the 2nd heaven. Now we just need to find the 1st heaven.
Psalm 148: 3 - 5
3 Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.
4 Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens.
5 Let them praise the name of the Lord: for he commanded, and they were created.
I have to say I absolutely love the consistency of this bible
Genesis 1: 9
9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
So now the waters under the heaven are gathered unto one place in the shape of a sphere. As a result the firmament becomes larger.

Isaiah 40: 22
22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:
Right God stretched the 2nd Heaven like a curtain since he gathered all the water under the firmament in one place, and since the scriptures says circle we know the Earth is a sphere and is not flat. Then God said let the dry land appear. So this should tell us the land was already there and God literally made it appear as if he found it.
Psalm 24: 2
24 The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

2 Peter 3: 3 - 5
3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
Proverbs 3: 19
19 The Lord by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.
Alright let's head back to Genesis
Genesis 1: 10 - 13
10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.
Alright so God has now made vegetation so let's update our image.

Genesis 1: 14 - 19
14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
Why is God putting lights in the firmament when he made light in Genesis 1: 3? Well there is a huge body of water above the firmament which prevents light from reaching the Earth. It is a scientific fact that when you dive the deeper you go the darker it gets. So God made the Sun and the Moon to give light upon the Earth and he made stars as well.

Now since the 3rd Heaven is called the Heaven of Heavens is make sense for it to be over more than 1 heaven. So the 1st Heaven is obviously the Earth but I'm a man, let's let the bible tell it.
Deuteronomy 30: 1 , 3 - 5
1 And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the Lord thy God hath driven thee,
3 That then the Lord thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the Lord thy God hath scattered thee.
4 If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the Lord thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:
The Israelites are on Earth and God is saying wherever you are on heaven, I will reverse your captivity and gather you.
Genesis 1: 20
20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
Ayyye, I absolutely love this bible. So the birds are flying in the open firmament of heaven. In fact as long your feet are not touching the ground you are in the 2nd heaven.
2 Samuel 18: 9
9 And Absalom met the servants of David. And Absalom rode upon a mule, and the mule went under the thick boughs of a great oak, and his head caught hold of the oak, and he was taken up between the heaven and the earth; and the mule that was under him went away.

11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
12 And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.
What is the windows of heaven?? Obviously the clouds and the clouds are in the sky which is the open firmament of heaven.
Matthew 24: 27 - 31
27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven , and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Absolutely beautiful, did you notice all three heavens here?
