You do have some funny ideas my dear friend....This verse is not talking about husbands so much as unfaithful servants/ disciples. Though people of both sexes can be unfaithful mates.

It can be applied to both. A husband is meant to serve his family, wife and children (and animals) ..an unfaithful husband is really no husband at all.

LOL You don't have to marry to be in a situation where compromise is necessary.

True but if you are married people say they are compromising every day. Say you are a clean and tidy person and your spouse is a messy person, well one half of your bedroom is going to be messy and one side clean its never going to be completely clean. You are married to that person, so you are bound to stay together for the the rest of your lives. Unless you can afford separate bedrooms and homes, you need to live together, otherwise, why bother marrying. It will end up the clean person will put up with or tidy the messy persons mess. The messy person then has to put up with daily criticism and nagging.

Or you could pay someone else to clean.

You promised to spend the rest of your lives together. So you will need to compromise because if you dont one will end up killing the other. Which is why theres divorce I suppose.

Singles do not have this problem generally and can sleep peacefully. Snoring wouldnt be a problem either.

Grand critters make you feel young again...But they do tire you out fast too. LOL I have twelve Grands and fourteen Great grand critters....

Conversely oldies can make you feel old. Two managers quit at one of the retirement villages I work at I think they got burned out. Every day dealing with requests and complaints and they want it done yesterday cos they domt have much time left...the problem is there are more of them then the young and they chose to live in a retirement village where children and younger people are actually not allowed to live there.

I find that weird..but thats what people do.

I mean your olds, your parents can drive you nuts so imagine if all the old people lived in one place together and you worked there as a young person and they just picked on you all the time.

I agree, An unfaithful mate is no mate at all...But not all men are unfaithful spouses, just as not all women are unfaithful....The ones that are unfaithful are not worth looking at as mates ever.
Don't get overexcited about that verse and carry it too far to your hurt.

I'm not overexcited or hurt! Why would you think that? Just asked God about it that's all.

I thought He was joking but it's true. Where can you find a faithful man? They are very rare, and its true most men proclaim their own goodness, I work with lots of men and they all seem to want to prove how macho they are lol.

Women in general do not always bang on about how good they are at things. But very interesting is that in the world people are taught they have to sell themselves and talk themselves up, but in the Bible that's like being a harlot. The world loves harlots cos they are attractive looking and go getters. But that means they ensnare everyone passing by. How can you be faithful if you are constantly distracted or talking about yourself?

Whereas faith is not something you can see...its the substance of things hoped for and it's the evidence of things unseen.

Faith is a rare thing these days. Few people have it, and even fewer people are brave enough to proclaim it. People just don't want to hear. You can get silenced by anyone who doesn't believe...just look at the book of Acts, even back then when people couldn't stop talking about Jesus those that didn't believe got very angry and caused riots and tried to censor anyone who talked about Jesus. That still happens today.

Never said all men are unfaithful spouses, don't try and look for things I didn't say. I would agree that unfaithful mates are not mates at all.

However that proverb is talking about men.
There are other proverbs that talk about women.
