Thoughts from Obadiah

As I've been reading through the Minor Prophets as per reading through the Bible in a year, now passing through Obadiah. Vs 15 " For the day of the Lord upon all the nations is near; As you have done, it shall be done to you;
Your reprisal shall return upon your own head."

Kind of like the Golden Rule -- do unto others as you'd have them do to You. Getting 'even' will come back to bit ya.

Merry Christmas :)

What do you mean by the book of Noah? There Isn't one. Noah's flood? That's in Genesis.

According to the reading schedule I'm following -- I'm in Zechariah.

What which I'm thinking about doing is on the 1st of the year -- instead of starting back in Genesis -- I'm going back to the Minor prophets again. Take a closer look at them.

my bad Jonah is what I meant

That's kind of what I thought you meant. The order goes -- Amos, Obadiah, 'Jonah' , Micah. Just wanted to verify.

It's easy for me to 'get behind' -- Usually I start out the year with good intentions of reading the two or three chapters a day. Then it gets bogged down in the longer books. That's when the older NIV becomes more reader-friendly for me.

This is still the Devotional section. Maybe the Devotional aspect is that 'everyone' needs someone to share what they are reading With.

so - a good aim for this new year coming up 2020 -- pay more attention to the Minor Prophets to start with. There used to be a TV news program called "2020" Maybe it's still on.

these books appear to all be a warning to Israel.
