Hello Talk Jesus people.

I'm looking forward to hanging out in here and having fellowship with other people who love Jesus Christ. My profile has a short bio, so I won't repeat it here in this post, but I do want to say that I love Jesus Christ, and I follow only Jesus Christ. I'm not a real cheery person these days, and I think we are living very close to the start of the tribulation. I think I was born with a mission to spread insights into the end-times in an effort to wake Christians out of their sleep. I see my role as someone yelling for others to wake up and turn on their lanterns. I don't really think we have a lot of time left.

That said, I'm glad to be here, and I hope to make friends here with others who are in Christ.

The Veridican Church recognizes the following texts as our canon of scripture: The Gospel of Matthew, The Gospel of Mark, The Gospel of Luke, The Gospel of John, and the book of Revelation (New International Version, 1984 ed.), The Gospel of Thomas (Meyer and Bloom, 1992 ed.), and The Veridican Gospel of Jesus Christ (Gordon, 2012 ed.).​

What I find interesting is the validation of the NIV 1984, a translation known to be the product of lying scribes.

Biblical scholar Bruce M. Metzger criticized the NIV 1984 edition for the addition of just into Jeremiah 7:22 so the verse becomes "For when I brought your forefathers/ancestors out of Egypt and spoke to them, I did not just give them commands about burnt offerings and sacrifices." Metzger also criticized the addition of your into Matthew 13:32, so it becomes "Though it (the mustard seed) is the smallest of all your seeds." The usage of your was removed in the 2011 revision. With all due respect @Veridican, anybody who knows what they're doing would not select the 1984 NIV edition of the Bible as a basis for any canon.

As for Education I have a B.Sc. in Liberal Arts, where I concentrated in theology and psychology, and three other associate degrees, one in nursing (I was an RN for 17 years). In addition, I am the author of the Veridican Gospel of Jesus Christ, which is the first of its kind in world history. That is to say, it is a true Gospel harmony like the Diatessaron by Tatian, but mine also includes the Gospel of Thomas, which he didn't have. I am the founder of Veridicanism, which started in 1993, and which is a one-of-a-kind religion. By that I mean, there has never--ever--been a religion like this in the history of Christendom and wait for it because here's the punch line: We follow ONLY Jesus Christ. That's it. Our entire Canon is only the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. You would have thought someone would have thought of it before me--but nope.

First off, I already own a copy of the Interlinear NT. Second, the 1984 version of the NIV was the most popular Bible ever published, even beating out the KJV. But, and I will admit, the NIV changed after that. When developing the canon for the Veridican Church, I struggled for a very long time over which version of the Bible would be authoritative. After narrowing it down to three potentials (KJV, NASB, and the NIV 1984 ed.) The Holy Spirit confirmed with a sign, which I won't go into with you, that it should be the NIV. Since then, I have not come to regret it.

Personally, I am not a great stickler about this. As a minister, I consult many texts on matters of scripture. But there has to be a final authority when it comes down to a decision, and for us that's the 1984 NIV. Unfortunately, it's hard to find. I have bought several copies from e-bay, but it is out of print. Fortunately, it is available online as .pdf, and I will put the .pdf on my website soon. I just finished putting up the entire VGJC.

They had to mix Judaism back into it in order to have their peace of mind, but how can following ONLY Jesus Christ be a different Gospel? And no one will answer me on that. NO ONE. I tell you a truth you cannot hear: If they had known what you were going to do with their letters, they would have never spread the Gospel. You should be following Christ only. The Veridican Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Book of Thomas are not Holy Canon. Thomas wasn't included for a reason. The Old Testament was.

I'm not "leading" anyone. You can't be "led" by someone and be a Veridican. It would be a contradiction in terms.

The Veridican Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Book of Thomas are not Holy Canon. Thomas wasn't included for a reason. The Old Testament was.

Whose canon? Every religious organization has a canon. This website has a canon; it's the 66 books of the Protestant version of the Holy Bible. Catholics are different. Greek Orthodox are different. Latter Day Saints are different, and the Jehovah's Witness have their own translation of the Bible. Veridicanism is different. I respect the canon of this website. I'm not arguing against it. I wouldn't even be bringing it up. If I were discussing the end times, I would be discussing it from the Gospels and Revelation, which are books both canon's share.

But, you have to admit it makes sense: If we are claiming to be a religion that follows ONLY Jesus Christ, then we can't elevate the letters of Paul to the same importance as the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. And we certainly can't elevate the scriptures of an entirely different religion--which is the Old Testament and Judaism. But it's not like we throw away the Bible. We read the entire Bible. I love to study what Paul had to say about Jesus. I love to see how Christ found himself in the Psalms and in the prophet Isaiah. We canonize the Gospel of John because it is the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, but I love reading the letters by John.

If Jesus wouldn't bow down to the Pope, why should you?
