What does the Bible say about being poor?

So would you mind answering my questions first? Why was it that Jesus could overcome the sin thing, and the sickness thing by could never overcome His problem with the poverty?
Since no one else has the answer for you, I will bring forth mine.

Jesus CHOSE Father God over this world. He was, and still is, rich in God. Jesus CHOSE to become sin for us. How could He do that? Because He is the chosen one of God to do that. Jesus FORSOOK ALL; including family, a job, friends, worldly stuff, money...to follow Father. Jesus believed Father and pursued the greatest of riches and is seated at the right hand of God because He did.

Now, He has asked of us to follow His example that He walked out before us. And if "anyone" come after Me, let him deny himself and pick up his cross and follow Me.

The greatest job upon this earth is to be a professional for Christ. Be Christ like...

In all our professions, we give our heart and mind, body and strength, we pour it into our profession. Wait, now the 10 minutes or half hour we have sat aside for God is bombarded by our journeys of that day. Hence, a double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

We can not serve God and mammon. Why? We will cling to one and hate the other.

Lord have mercy upon us ALL. Amen

I think I'll stop talking about this subject...The answers do not line up with scripture but they do with church 'doctrine'... Ok I'm done.

Pro 30:8 First, help me never to tell a lie. Second, give me neither poverty nor riches! Give me just enough to satisfy my needs.
Pro 30:9 For if I grow rich, I may deny You and say, "Who is the LORD?" And if I am too poor, I may steal and thus insult God's holy name. (NLT)

Bendito you have made me think on a few things. Your efforts have not been in vein. But I think we all agree with the verses Curtis has posted above here. I also believe we are looking at some issues from different angles.

Curtis you should look at the context of these verses

Brother, when it comes to Wisdom, and understanding which the Bible says is more valuable than gold or silver, and there is nothing you can desire to compare her to, I am rich, and have way more than I can speak of. When it comes to physical belongings, and the things I need for life on this planet earth, all my needs have been met according to his riches in Glory. I lack nothing! The Lord is good, and he takes care of his own through his promises. What else could we ever ask for?

The answers I provided is scripture; which does not line up with men justifying themselves against scripture.
