What kind of fruits will a child of God bear, not speaking of the “Holy Spirit”fruits at this time.

Yes, and then the Galatians 5 passages Lists the fruit Of the Spirit. So a person Will be exhibiting those characteristics that are listed. ie love, joy, peace, long-suffering, etc, etc.

There are no plurals concerning the Holy Spirit.
Galatians 5:22 States the "Fruit of the Spirit". One fruit, one Spirit; one God, one Faith, one baptism.
John 15:5 - I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

God is the strength of the believers fruit. Everyone indwelled by the Holy Spirit produces fruit..
Rockerduck: Many people don’t get it , even when the English syntax is plain as day. Because they have been taught that all their lives in the “institutional church” just like that “tithe lie”. And it has been seared into their mind like a hot branding iron. They cannot see until God open their eyes. And most cannot see because of “pride”.

For openers, would not these be considered fruits of a true child of God?
1. A peacemaker
2. Merciful
3.living a type of life that is” persecuted for righteousness.
4. If someone slaps you, you turn the other cheek.
5. Love your enemies, bless those who curse you.
6. Pray for and not against those who abuse you, and say all kinds of evil against you.
7. Read you bible regularly
8. talk to your children about God everyday if possible.
9. everyone you know, knows that you”Love” Jesus!
10 persecuted, because you talk about Jesus
Do that seems like fruits of a “ child of God”?

What makes you think ANY of these are not "Fruits of the Holy Spirit" in your life??

What makes you think ANY of these are not "Fruits of the Holy Spirit" in your life??
I notice are you familiar with the English syntax, I think I am " addressing the fruit of a "child of God" and not the fruits that "belongs to the Holy Spirit of God" at this time. I do know I know how to read, English grammar. And I do understand, a statement of possession and ownership. I do know how to read. Now, do that answer your question. Now is that plain enough. And if not, what part of this statement, you don't stand?

And Bob, if I seem hardest, pay it no attention, ok! :)

One of the fruits not mentioned yet, is leading people to Christ. The fruits of your labor to increase the body of Christ.

Curious I am, what does that mean, leading a person, to "The Anointed of GOD"? To increase the body of "The Anointed of GOD" by a believer? And it is a fruit coming from who or where? You threw it out there, now explain it.

A gift is something given to you. Fruit is what you produce.

John 15:1; I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
John 15:2; Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Jesus is the true vine, the root of the tree. He is the water of life that nourishes the tree. The tree would die without this nourishment.
Just because a branch is "in Jesus" doesn't mean it will bear fruit.

Luke 13:6; He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.
Luke 13:7; Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?
Luke 13:8; And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:
Luke 13:9; And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

Even if Jesus is watering, fertilizing and digging around the tree, some trees refuse to bear fruit.

Luke 8:14; And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.

Some start to grow fruit, but the fruit never full develops, it never matures.

[NASB]
Luke 8:14; "The seed which fell among the thorns, these are the ones who have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with worries and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to maturity.

By the way... In Galatians 5. It is fruit (singular) not fruit(s) plural. It isn't like you have "some of them". It's kind of an all or none type of thing.

Jude 1:23; save others, snatching them out of the fire; and on some have mercy with fear, hating even the garment polluted by the flesh.

Acts 8:29; Then the Spirit said to Philip, "Go up and join this chariot."
Acts 8:30; Philip ran up and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet, and said, "Do you understand what you are reading?"
Acts 8:31; And he said, "Well, how could I, unless someone guides me?" And he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.

Rom 10:13; for "WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED."
Rom 10:14; How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?
Rom 10:15; How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, "HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!"

Now it's true, we don't save anyone ourselves. But we can certainly lead others to Christ. In fact it's our calling.

Mark 16:15; And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.
Mark 16:16; "He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.

Matt 28:19; "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
Matt 28:20; teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

Perhaps, but they are listed plainly in Galatians 5.

Gal 5:22; But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
Gal 5:23; gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
Gal 5:24; Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
Gal 5:25; If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.
Gal 5:26; Let us not become boastful, challenging one another, envying one another

The opposite ( fruit of the flesh) is also listed as "what not to do".

Gal 5:17; For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please.
Gal 5:18; But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law.
Gal 5:19; Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality,
Gal 5:20; idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions,
Gal 5:21; envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

I know what the scriptures says, I have read those verses most likely over a thousand times, and that is no lie, I know how to read. I got a lot of Bibles and a lot I have worn out!
Explain what you said: read my reply again, you did not understand my reply. I did not ask you for a list of verses out of a bunch of letters. I said explain. Am I on a foreign planet, or speaking words I don't understand or Am i in the dark so deep, That I am the one that do not understand words! And what they mean.

I am not being mean, I said nothing about gifts absolutely nothing! Read the questions, I ask pertains to your statement. How hard is that. If you can make a statement with your own words, you should be able to explain it with your own words, or give a statement as why you believe in such a matter with your own words. Just because you can quote scripture does not mean you understand what you are quoting. But you can give me your believeth, even if, it might not, be true.

Every body on talkjesus can and has read their bibles. And I know, you are not here on "TalkJesus" just to list a bunch of scriptures we all have read. But to share with the body of Christ the things that God has "Revealed" to you for the evdification of all saints not the few. There is only one body. We want the juice from the grape that is on the vine, we want the fragrance that comes from the "Rose"! And we want to behold, the "Lily of The Valley", Now bring it on! We do not want to hear "Joe Osteen", TD Jakes, Jessie Duplantis, or Hopalong Cassidy! We want to hear, what God has Revealed to you to give to us. If I am a criminal for pressing for such manners in Christ I am guilty as charge, But concerning the philosophy of this world engraved into Christian thought pattens I find hard to digest,. Because we speak not the wisdom of this world, for neither can the world understand us. Because it is "spiritually discern". We speak a language that's is not of this world, now that is a gift we all who are "born from above" received. Holy Scripture makes this plain. If you do not understand, what I am talking about or understand the language I am speaking, you are not one of us! "The Children of the Living GOD"! Now give it another try or just think about it for awhile.

Here we go again, I am not addressing "The Fruits of the Spirit" those fruits belongs to the Holy Spirit. Do anyone knows the grammar for personal possession. That means ownership in the English language. Please do not read anything into the text of Scripture that is not there, and do not assume with ifs. I know it is hard for most to see. I know it is. And all of that "flesh" movement is not in you. LOL, Since I have been on "TalkJesus" , Christians on here, have grown more "Horns" on their heads than all "cattle in Texas"! LOL! And when I start writing "replies" they forget all about the "Fruits of the Spirit"! Their eyes get red, blood pressure go up, and their hands reach for the "Blackberry Brandy"! LOL! And they don't be"speaking in tongues" either! And some say: "that I am suppose to stimulate them" LOL! I love y'all.

I hesitate to reply, because of your attitude toward me, not wanting the kind of arguements you seem to like. You obviously dont see me as worthy of an intelligent or wise thought. So I leave it up to you, if you truly dont understand it, and want to know, not just to argue with me, then let me know.

I meant everything I said on post #29.

I meant everything I said on post #29.
Based on your reply on #29, I will gladly explain. I will explain, and if you find fault with it, you just will, I will not get into one of your arguments that you love to broadcast trying to show how 'right' you are.

Parable of the sower...
Matt 13:3-9

3 And He spoke many things to them in parables, saying, “Behold, the sower went out to sow; 4 and as he sowed, some seeds fell beside the road, and the birds came and ate them up. 5 Others fell on the rocky places, where they did not have much soil; and immediately they sprang up, because they had no depth of soil. 6 But when the sun had risen, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. 7 Others fell among the thorns, and the thorns came up and choked them out. 8 And others fell on the good soil and *yielded a crop, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty. 9 He who has ears, let him hear.”

The sower sows, that is his labor or at least one of his labors that can produce fruit.

John 4:35-38
35 Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest. 36 Already he who reaps is receiving wages and is gathering fruit for life eternal; so that he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. 37 For in this case the saying is true, ‘One sows and another reaps.’ 38 I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored and you have entered into their labor.”

The reaper reaps, that is his labor, or at least one of his labors that produce fruit. They (sower and reaper) both labored to produce fruit, and although the Lord makes it grow, He asks us to sow and reap, one labor going into the next for the same outcome.

Acts 1:8
8 but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”

The great commission, to spread the gospel to all the earth, a commission is in this case heavenly rewards and crowns are its payments, again a labor, that we do to produce fruit. The fruit being people who become forgiven by Christ through confession of sins and repentance to salvation

I ask this question sincerely. Not with any malice, or hate or facetiousness. From the way this reply is worded, it appears to me that you don't believe Christians have to have...

love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, or self-control;

Only the Holy Spirit has to have those things, those belong to the Holy Spirit, not us, if I am mistaken, I apologize. But I don't see any other way to read this.
Is this what you believe?

B-A-C, By your reply, I cannot help but to try to explain, your question that you are asking, concerning this portion of Scripture and not into the sense of hostility.

The Scripture declares that "The Fruits of the Spirit" [we assume is the Holy Spirit, The Spirit of GOD] whom the Bible is referring to. The statement is saying, "This "form of attributes" is Coming from "The Spirit of God" Who is GOD! If we believe in "Trinity". If we are "Born From Above" we are the "Temple of GOD", and GOD Dwells in us.

Now, we are commanded to walk in "The Guidance of The "Holy Spirit" and we will not fulfilled the ways of the fresh.
The Spirit of God, The Word of God and The Father are always in agreement. The only way we can bear, our Fruit is to abide in the vine which is obeying GOD, who produces or makes the fruit grows on [our trees]. We just do the abiding and He does the work in us and He is the one who produces the Fruit in us. So in essence, The Holy Spirit guides us to follow Him, His guidance, when I make you mad, say all types of evil things to you, mis-quote you, and the hair on you back starting raise up, "The Word of God is in you, The Holy Spirit is telling you, to love me, be kind to me, telling you to follow him, you getting al upset, because of what I said, [this is the flesh rising up in you]. but the Spirit is saying follow me. Then when you follow Him and obey the Word of GOD, you are abiding in the vine and GOD produce a "Fruit" in you of your own, Then He Prunes you, [ouch, pain and suffering] and HE produce more fruit in you, then more fruit, much fruit that belongs unto your "Character". And this process go's on and on. I am trying this in simple and not complex form, you know the Scriptures well enough to put it together and it makes even common sense.

Can there be any fruit at all,
which is of the Righteousness of God,
that hath not Love?

By using the english word "love". in a biblical context is difficult. the parent spank the little kid for running out in the street. Is a expression of Love. [agape]
The parent, refuse to spank the child after a few times of running in the street, but lecture the child. Worldly thought because she did not want to harm the kid because she love him. The God said according to Scripture she didn't. True love she would have spank the kid the 1st time. Spanking was a fruit of Love!

you know John the Babtist gives us a nice list of Fruit

the list I see is we are to share with the needy clothing and food is what is used in the example John give us, it is also in the books of acts when they all first came togeather

Johnh the babtist also tells us to be honest and content bearing fruit.

Lucke 3
8 Produce fruit, then, in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father. For I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham.

10 The crowds asked him, What then should we do?

11 John replied, “Whoever has two tunics should share with him who has none, and whoever has food should do the same.

12 Even tax collectors came to be baptized. “Teacher, they asked, “what should we do?

13Collect no more than you are authorized, he answered.

14Then some soldiers asked him, “And what should we do?

“Do not take money by force or false accusation, he said. Be content with your wages.

Seems to me bearing fruit has a lot to do with selfless acts of kindness to the needy for the sake of the Gospel.

Look at Jesus he was the prime example of selfless acts, washing the feet of his deciplies he came to serve not be served, yet he is a king.

Would we not say, many people do good work, The Roman Catholic, The Mormon church, The Othodox Jewishs, "The Atheist assembly", The LGBTQ community also does many good works.[bears good fruit], as you have describe are not those the acts [the fruit] of "love" which they have done as well.

A hungry stomach or a hungry child, does not care who feeds it. selfish or unselfish, right. The world proclaims that they do many more acts of Charity than those of "Christianty". Personally I don't know. But i know what i have observed and experienced.:pensive: We know what we should do. But do we do it? That is a mirror many of us would not like to look into or stare. So what could be the "Root" of The problem within us?
