Whats your favorite Holiday ?

if i had to choose a holiday season that i like the best it would have to be easter, for while i know that Christ was born into the world at Christmas, it was at easter that He truly fullfilled His purpose and reason for being here, it was at easter that we became washed clean.

alongside this, if i was to pick a holiday to have, not just one during a season, i would have to say personally that whenever i can truly retreat. in what ever period of the year when i can spend not just minutes but days being only with God, alone from the world and society; together in union with our Lord. if i could pick a holiday i would select this every time

God bless

My favorite holiday has to be Easter, as it gives me time to reflect on what our Lord God did sending his only son to die for our sins. It makes me think more about God.
I also love Christmas, I always get to meet some of the extended family that I don't usually see.
God bless

A favorite holiday? hmm? I think for me its more Easter than Christmas even though I really love both.

Christmas is magical, the child Jesus, the gifts, celebrations and family are very heart warming, but Easter completes the whole story. "It is finished" - Jesus

In the USA, we differentiate between vacation and holiday. Holidays, to us, are special calendar days set aside to commemerate events in history or for certain spiritual celebrations. I love Christmastime celebrating the birth of Jesus and Easter, celebrating His victory over death.

To be honest with you, however, I must confess that my favorite holiday(USA) is Veterans' Memorial Day, held on the last Monday of May, to remember those vets who sacrificed their lives for us and to show gratitude to all our vets (dead or alive) for their sacrifice as well.

However, that's not the only reason that I enjoy Memorial Day so much.
In our town, we have a parade on the morning of every Memorial Day put together by the local Veterans of Foreign Wars post. I'm a 68 year old little kid who still loves to salute our flag as it moves past at the head of that parade, I love to listen to marching bands and watch the band members strut their stuff. And I still love to salute our flag.

I'm still excited by the flashing lights and sirens of police cruisers
ecorting the parade and the fire trucks and ambulances that follow close behind. Employees of our local bus company have refurbished an old bus of the same type I used to ride when I was in grade school sixty years ago and fond memories are stirred as I watch it pass by.

Even as I sit at my computer typing this memoir, in my imagination I hear the sirens, I see the police cruisers and fire vehicles, I watch and admire the marching band, and I smile at the sight of that bus. But mostly, I feel a new swell of gratitude toward our veterans who strove to guarantee my freedom; my right to be a 68 year old little kid watching a parade.

well mine is christmas because it was the day that the lord was born and i also like easter cause that is when Jesus was raised from th dead. love ur sis in christ sokerbean

My favourite is Christmas because it is Jesus' birthday! Thanksgiving sounds great, but we don't have it in England. Such a shame.

I have to say Easter, we have forgiveness of our sins, healing, and removal of our iniquity, and the gift of the HOLY SPIRIT. Through Easter we have SALVATION in JESUS CHRIST the Heavenly FATHERs' only begotten SON !!!!!!!!!!

I think my favourite hoilday has to Christmas, i odn't know why but Going to church then feels extra special.

Christmas would have to be my fav because I get to be around all my famliy at one time. It's great to celebrate the birth of our Jesus and fellowship. Well and of course EAT!!!

LABOR DAY!!! I LOVE LABOR DAY!!! JK

I reall do LOVE christmas.

I just love the spirit. And also it just gives me a good reason to like the snow.
I mean I love making ginger bread houses, Decorating the house with the family, Listening to Christmas carols that it just doesn't feel right ot listen to any other time. Ten there is always those traditions of setting up the tree. And the stockings and presetns.

But my favorite about the holiday is ADVENT! Yes, Advent. its a time when at night all our family sits down in our living room and turn all the lights out except the christmas tree. And we also light the candles. I cant remeber what they all stand for. But it really draws the peace of what it must have been like when Baby Jeses was born. Sure it must have stank, but it would have been so beutiful.

WHOA! that is a long paragraph i just wrote. Oh well. I got my point across.

Christmas! It's the one time each year where all the family and the mother and daughter in laws pretend to like each other instead of yelling.

Should we be praying for them to keep the holiday? I will keep this in my prayers. let me know how it goes, o.k.

I like Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving the most. All the family getting together and eating and giving out presents. Jesus' birthday!!!!! Birthdays and all the other holidays are fun too!!!!

I don't believe we should celebrate any holidays because in Col2:8 it talks about the traditions of men and all of the celebrations are men's traditions including Christmas and Easter. I hope by this comment I wont offend anyone but why are we celebrating his birth when he only tells us to remember his death and always participate of the Lords supper which is a remembrance of his death. If we think about it this way if we were really to celebrate his birth then Christmas would be in June or July not December because the seasons are different. When it's winter here its summer there. And about Easter that's part of the Old Testament which means that us like christians are supposed to obey the New Testament because it's the new law(Heb8:6,13,15.) If anybody disagrees just know it's coming from God's word and not my own opinions. We have to do what God wants from us not what we want for ourselves.
