Hi again!
just wondering when you were/if you were baptised

thanks for sharing!!

hi . . .in october it will be 10 years ago  it was WOW, awesome, necessary, and just plain wonderful

um.. well...

i was baptised on the last sunday of january this yr ('05)... an yea.. like i wasnt plannin on it, but i was @ a youth camp an i had a sudden urge 2 on my heart 2 get baptised.. which was fron God.. so yea, i decided 2 get baptised.. awesum stuff!!

I was baptized as a baby in the church my parents went to. I plan on getting baptized again since it is an outward expression of an inward decision, and I made the decision to follow Jesus just more than a year ago. I'm exited and a little nervous... :rainbow: .

 My husband & I were baptized in September of 1989 & it was the best day of our lives !!

I was baptised when I was a baby. Unfortunately, I believe the reason I was baptised at such an age was for the sake of tradition, not for the sake of my belief/trust/faith in God.

-I wish I could be baptised again!

I was baptized as a baby in the catholic church and than again as an adult with my husband when we accepted Jesus as our Savior.

Your sister in Christ,
AlabasterBox :girl:

I too was baptised as a baby in the catholic church, then baptised as an adult at 25, this was done by my wife in the bath who also was a christian, this may seem strange, but its a command to be baptised in the name of the lord jesus, and i wanted it done there and then.

A baby here

I was baptised as a baby and I guess I see it as a welcome to the family of the church. A promise that the child will be nurtured and guided by the community of the church.

I was confirmed at 11 years and I see that as the point where I chose to acknowledge a faith in God. Publicly declaring my beliefs at the time.

But only fully understood Jesus and truly believed at 28 years. It was Good Friday this year even though I prayed a prayer of acceptance at 17.

Each of these steps have been important to me. I have believed in God all my life. I began to learn about Jesus. I accepted Jesus as a part of God and then I accepted Jesus as the saviour of my soul. Baby, 11 years, 17 years and 28 years, each step steered me to where I am now.

I aim to go to church to be re-confirmed as an adult following my commitment to God.

I was baptised a month ago, in the sea on the Isle of Wight durning a youth camp. It was an awesome moment, even though it was a rainy, cold day! Several of us got baptised on the same day from the youth at the church that I go to. After I felt an inner peace that I had never felt before and issues that I had held on to, left so now I feel free from any burdens. The Lord also spoke to me so now I have a better relationship with my Lord. Praise the Lord!
God Bless
Maryxxx

Dito here. My parents went to a different church when I was 3 years old. The first church practiced childbaptism, but my parents came to believe that one should first believe and than be baptised and went to an other church (also for other reasons). So I was raised with the idea (and believe) that you get baptised AFTER you've made your decision for Christ, and the childbaptism doesn't count but is a gesture from the parents to raise their kids in faith and ask the churchmembers to help them do so.

Therefore I was baptised at age 14, without thinking it would be for the second time (which I think the bible says isn't supposed to happen. Don't remember where it says that though).

As a baby.
Then at confirmation at 16 because there was no record of my "christening"
Then at about 26 after I found Jesus as my Lord and saviour!!

i was baptized as an infant in the united church but then was batized as a teenager in the pentacostal church
