Hi again!
just wondering when you were/if you were baptised

thanks for sharing!!

I would just like tto add that in the Methodist Church, infantile Baptisms are held during there during the normal service, and it is really wonderful because although there maybe upwards of a couple of hundred people, everybody is involved and partakes in the service. Although I'm only a few days away from my sixtieth birthday, the whole experience is so wonderful, so moving, that even when it happens on an almost regular basis, I stii get a little bit chiked up, because you really pray with all you've got for that child's upbringing in the church.

My Father too had a saint's celebration homecoming just over 2 years ago.
Isn't it great to be able to say that of them.

Frederick
I believe you were baptised into Christ's death and resurrection and not 'the church' brother. Hallelujah.

Whatever, I accept the Lord Jesus Christ into my heart as my personal Guide and Saviour, and in Him, and Him only I place my total trust. He wiped the slate clean, but what a price to pay for my salvation - it makes me feel so humble when I think about it. In fact, it's made me go all quiet now.

But surely Frederick
there are vows made which are taken by unsaved people when an infant is Baptized, therefore how can they ever be carried out?

I know, I participated in this practise when my own children were babies and I was then unsaved.
I wasn't aware then, that it wasn't scriptural to do so.
That Baptizm is only intended for adults if we adhere to scripture.

I had my last son Dedicated although still not knowing this is a far better way, as it's giving thanks to God for the child's life.

I have already written my Baptism pages ago, it was absolutely marvelous.
All glory given to Jesus.

I presume the first time was as a baby?
As I don't think we are to be Baptised as adults, twice.
Although it's a wonderful experience, as being saved is also.

With Jesus in the boat, we can smile at the storm.

God bless you my sister, and yes He is with us always!! We may wonder from time to time our Lord never will.

I was baptised 23years and 1month ago. I'm the same church my mother was baptised in as a child

oops, I meant to vote as a teenager since I was 17. I just viewed it as adult baptism since I was old enough to have my own faith and repent.

I was sprinkled as a baby, when I decided to stop sinning (that is, sinning freely because even now I am not without sin) and let Jesus take control of my life, I got baptized.

I was baptized when I was 12, but fell away for a very long time after I got off on my own. I was re-baptized as an adult in July of 2009 after I came back to the Lord. I consider my baptism last year as my true one.

Baptism

IMHO, infant baptism is not Biblical. In every case in the Bible when someone is baptized, they are born again first. Some denominations believe that infant baptism washes away original sin. However, that is their tradition and not from the bible. I was Christened when I was a baby, but was baptized by immersion after I was born again. IMHO, again, baptism by immersion is the Biblical way.

1982, March, in a river, by my own prayerful idea and decision. Sunday morning, sunrise, all dressed in white. 12 people, from different churches attended. It was special.

Baptism

I was 11 aaand there was no place to say under 13.

Why not ask where you were baptized, in a river, church, swiming pool, a lake, river Jorden?

these are fun and lively, and a bright thing to do! Way to go!:shade:
