Who is Jesus?

Christ4Ever:

If, as you say, Jesus "gave it all," why did Jesus give the credit to his heavenly father by saying the following?

"I cannot do a single thing of my own initiative. Just as I hear, I judge, and my judgment is righteous because I seek, not my own will, but the will of him who sent me." (John 5:30)

How do you answer?

"That people may know that you, whose name is JEHOVAH, you alone are the Most High over all the earth." ~ Psalms 83:18
Dear Alter2Ego,
How would I answer? No different then I did before "He gave His all". Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. John 10:17

Should I go on with His obedience? For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man's obedience many will be made righteous. Romans 5:19
Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Philippians 2:6-8

HIs Sacrifice? And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. Ephesians 5:2

It does not have to disagree with John 5:30. For Scripture does not contradict, but rather provides such an expansive and intricate look at the Son of God, that even it is insufficient to cover everything He did in His earthly ministry, much less in His Heavenly existence prior to and since.

This song is for you!
With the Love of Christ Jesus.

I was just wondering what is a Spiritual path. It means different things for different people. All I see is dogmatic thinking and a religion. Basically, people telling others what they should believe. They are also quick to tell you how to run your life when they are doing nothing of a Spiritual nature! Just talk talk talk and talk. . . . How about doing something?

You should not be surprised that it means different things to different people, a born again Christian belongs to God, if you are not born again you belong to sin, the world and the devil. If you born again, become a new creation Jesus abides in your heart, you are spiritually in the light, nothing hidden, totally forgiven. So a person in the world thinks as the world, they cannot understand those who are born again, that is where you are. You want to see what we see but you cannot, unless you repent and give your life back to God through Jesus.

Read the following, all of it, may the words penetrate your heart. Although Jesus was at that time talking with Nicodemus, the message is for us all.

John 3:1-21 (NKJV)
1 There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.
2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, "Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him."
3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
4 Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?"
5 Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'
8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit."
9 Nicodemus answered and said to Him, "How can these things be?"
10 Jesus answered and said to him, "Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things?
11 Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness.
12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?
13 No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven.
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18 He who believes in Him is not condemned;
but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.

21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God."

Sin is evil in God's eyes, a saved soul, a born again person, comes to Jesus, as they are sinners and lost, seeking forgiveness of all their sins, realising and accepting we are sinners who cannot save ourselves, every sin we have done, said and thought remains with us all our lives, we will be judged for them all.

But if we ask Jesus into our hearts (and mean it from our heart) we can have all our sins wiped away, we just say with our lips and mean in our heart we believe, Jesus is the Son of God, the only person to intercede our prayers, the only person that can save us. We walk in the light, set free from sin, it is a spiritual light brighter than day. Other forms of spiritual walk can include following the devil, knowing it or not, witchcraft, tarot reading, and the like.

Sinners cannot see God because of their sins, you can only come to know Him by being born again, becoming sin free, we must be born again to know it, feel it, understand it.

Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'

We are all given the same choice

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.
But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God."

Can we fully explain it, No. But every born again believer started like you, a sinner, a none believer, a searching heart.

Only Jesus can fully explain it and he does in the verses above, very clearly.

Have a wonderful Christmas, Jesus is the reason for the season.

Love came down at Christmas, God the son, born of Mary, in Bethlehem in Judea.

He came that we 'might' be saved. The choice is ours.

Christmas Blessings
