Hve read various commentaries who see that as being govt, the Church, and Roman rule, but think best candidate would be the Holy Spirit Himself

While I do agree that the best candidate is the Holy Spirit, I have never had God verbally speak those words to me.... so, I leave it up to God.

One thing that is for sure, I do not know who the Antichrist is, and specifically I do not know who the 10 horns are.

Yes it will no doubt be specific modern day nations that were once under the Roman empire land, which will seem to include some European and maybe some African nations, but specifically I do not know who the 10 specific are.

There are so many claims of 10 of this, popping up, and 10 of that, but that will get revealed in it's time, and they will form something with the Antichrist, near the end of the tribulation period for a short time.

I find it interesting that some european nations are possibly splitting out of the Euro state due to its massive over control of all of its nations leading to its demise. Nations like Poland, Hungary, and perhaps Italy are waking up to the horrible way brussels tries to destroy national identities by importing the 3rd world. The 10 nation empire could well be the result of this.
