who was on earth that would find Cain and kill him?

Sunday school lessons are supposed to be from Scripture. That's the whole point Of Sunday School -- to learn From Scripture in a small group setting. Unless there are those who see Scripture as fairy tales. Those who don't take God's Word seriously will have a serious problem when they enter eternity. All of a sudden they will realize that what they considered to be make-believe is really True.
You can 'offer' anything you want to. But Revelation 13: 16-18 tells us other-wise. vs 18 Here is wisdom, Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.
At that future time in history -- a person will be required to have that number as a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads in order to buy or sell anything.
vs 9 - 10 of the next chapter says what will happen to those who Do take the mark. He will drink of the wine of the wrath of God.
I just looked that up, also. It describes the beginnings of the cosmos according to the Greek gods -- completely different from God's Word explanation. Apparently it's supposed to be how the 'original' world came to be that was totally destroyed and then God decided to re-create the world we have Now.
Okay the Greek poet Hesiod wrote a didactic or instructional poem telling about the origins of the cosmos and the complicated and interconnected geneologies of the Greek gods.
In one of your posts you quote something that includes Rahav -- and later about Rahab. Rahab was a woman in the Bible -- was able to hide two spies. Rahav is the planet that exploded or something -- astriods resulted. Something of that nature.
You find the timing of something to be a problem because of other writings.
So -- do you believe the instructional poem correct or God's Word. Or do you find them of equal accuracy? The one taking place before the other Because of the Gap theory that GH Pember endorces in his book.

The Word says nothing about the timing of it all....The Greek Gods and the Olympians did/do exist...They are the fallen ones...
Rahab and Rahav are two separate entities, one being a woman and the other a planet.... Sue I have dementia but that does not mean I'm demented. I do know what I'm talking about....but I don't know all of it....That's why I'm still digging. You do not know that the gap thingy is not true, you were not there....And the Word does not say that it is not true....So where are you getting YOUR info?

What you say is true. That can also apply to those who don't want to believe in things like what is called gap theory....If you read the Word and are willing to see it, you may be looking at gap fact.

I have never understood the young Earth creation story - six 24 hour days for a God who has all of eternity with him.
Why the rush? What is the hurry? God has all the time of the world at his disposal.
One day is to the Lord as a thousand years for us scripture declares.

Because God chose to create this world the way He did which is what He's telling us about.
Our work week started out consisting of those 6 / 24-hr days. With one day per week to stop and worship -- a Sabboth's day of rest.
We should Still be working 6 - days a week and resting on the 7th. Sunday worship / The Lord's Day -- in honor of His bodily resurrection from the dead.
Cain became a rest wanderer in the Old Testament because he murdered his brother, Abel.
When the mark of the beast comes into the picture -- it will be an entirely different scenario.
Sounds like you're trying to do 'symbolism' where it doesn't really exist?!

I do have to laugh when Christians quote that phrase....I mean, to an eternal God a day, and a thousand years are not different....but I see so many Christians speaking as though the Bible is saying that a day in the bible means a thousand years...When we read "a day" we should read "a thousand years" as though God could not have simply said that.

Show scripture where Cain was given a number....God put his mark on Cain...The bible does not say what the mark was, I'm sure.
Hi thanks I see that a little differently. It’s another of the parables which without Christ spoke not hiding the gospel understanding from those that have no interest in going beyond the literal historical understanding.
Those who look for signs or literal marks .. they literalize where there is no need
Jesus said it is an evil generation that walks after what the eyes see , the temporal. Signs that cause wondering. We are to walk by faith the unseen understanding. Cain unlike Abel had no rest in the increased work load .Cain said it was more that he could bear. Unlike Abel who was yoked with Christ our sin bearer making the burden lighter.
Cain who saw no value in the spiritual unseen thing of God wanted to die in order to rid the burden of suffering the pangs of hell. .While another example. .Esau a marked man saw no benefit in his spiriual birth rite and sold it for a cup of goat soup . The buying and seling in Revelation 13 along with the mark is presented by a proverb, a moral parable .

Not the buying and seling of earthly goods It would seem Christ will come as a theif in the night just as in the times of Noah. We can watch as believers but no one knows the day or hour or centurty. We walk by faith mixing the two . The eternal not seen with the temporal seen . Then we can rest if we are walking with him .

So why do I spend do I spend so much time researching this gap fact stuff? Having dementia, I push myself to keep my mind active, I have no plans to go out without a fight, and this challenging subject is utterly fascinating....If one reads the Word carefully and thoughtfully, one sees that God created the heavens and the Earth in vs 1...then the next thing He created was animals and fish in vs 20. From vs 3 to 20 He was assembling and restoring....
It would seem that we have been fed a line and not the truth.... There is an entire history here that has been hidden.....and .....He who controls history, controls the future....So who his history here? I know....some here will say that I'm spouting conspiracy theory....but read the Word as its written....not with a closed mind...ask the Holy Spirit to guide your understanding.....Why? If you do not understand the beginning, you will miss a LOT throughout the rest of the bible.

Peoples are still essentially fruit of the church of Rome and they uphold mediaeval doctrines from over a thousand years ago.
They are full of doctrinal and scriptural contradictions, which often raise complex problems for the truth of scripture and of history.
Worse the very people who deny evolution and insist doggedly that God created Adam and Eve only want to espouse evolution as the means of generating the diversity of human races and types plus the enormous population
of humankind in only 4,000 years (Noah's Flood > began approximately 4,359 years ago in the year 2,348 BC).
But in 2,348 BC we already have civilizations and history in India and China and Egypt (The pyramids of Giza are already a thousand years old by now).
Where did Cain get his wife from? He married a woman who was living with her kind in the land of Nod.
And human beings did not evolve from Adam and Eve, nor from just Noah's family.

Well as far as evolution goes, there is no evidence whatsoever for any macro evolution, though micro evolution happens all the time. As I mentioned, blue eyes is a micro evolution in man...a lovely evolution I might add...and Yes....The Romanist church did have a major influence on Christianity over all...Anything that puts lie to their dogmas is sinful and therefore not true.... Thus our understanding is very skewed.
